Kumble has retired you fool ???? Why saurav Dravid is also not there so ?? they have to pick asia team not Indian team. .. yes agree on Dhoni and june. Munaf should not be there in T20, better option would have been Zaheer
I honestly cannot believe how cricket could be played in the month of June in Chennai. I hope good cricketers bail out with excuses such as playing county or country cricket. As for the bad ones (read non-performers) let this be a good punishment. this will also be a true test of cricket craziness for people who either physically or remotely try to watch the match. it will be funny to see roger binny coach Shoaib and Asif - hope he catches a trick or two to pass on to Indian bowlers. The great thing is that cricket is now being milch'ed for all 12 months and hopefully it will be left juiceless after all this to help country focus on better things. To even think of such a tournament is an insult to a devout cricket fan. I hope he takes the affront more seriously now.
Indians have been picked up in quite a handy number in the Asian ODI Team. But Munaf Patel in 20-20 team is a surprising one. Dhoni seemed to be the only Indian appropriate for this job, but he too is not performing. Infact Team India needs a bit more time to gather up their spirits back.
Sachin, Sehwag, Yuvi, Bhajji and Dhoni suit the ODI Team.
The Statement of Murli not available should be condemned. County Cricket is not as important as this.
And My Last Comment. This whole series seems to be a JOKE and will prove a JOKE. Organising Cricket, in first week of June, in Chennai nad Bangalore is a big joke. What I feel is the BCCI People don't consult the weather forecast department. Cricket has to be played in full spirits - not like the one of World CUP FINAL - Decision made by D/L system (Rain Interruption).
Had they planned it in North India in this vcery period, It would have been far more successful.
I personally won't spend a penny on buyin tickets for it. The more I think about it, AFRO-ASIAN cup frm the middle of nowhere is purely commercial.. juz to get the millions of Indian fans back in track to go crazy for cricket -- for the real truth is, it stinks and will be the same as long as 'WE' the ppl change their minds.. I can watch it on TV juz not spend anythin for cricket.. like one said durin worldcup, no more buyin stuff which a cricketer endorses, no more buyin tickets to watch indian cricket - makes sense to me. Things wud change "eventually" - IF one day when Indian cricket has got what it wants.. until then, say NO to cricket money.
