The likes of Hemang Badani, Rahul Sanghvi, SS Das, SS Paul, Gagandeep Singh, Amit Mishra, Avishkar Salvi, Syed Saba Karim, Abhijit Kale, Amit Bhandari, Joginder Singh and Gautam Gambhir are clear case studies in this.
All the above either made their Test or ODI debuts in Bangladesh. It may be sheer coincidence, but their careers never developed to the extent of their potential.
As Team India gets ready for the eighth national trip to the country, carrying three debutants %u2014 Piyush Chawla, Manoj Tiwary and Rajesh Pawar %u2014 past experiences may hang heavy. But there is one man who stands tall, defying this jinx %u2014 Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Dude, that's probably because we tested second rung players vs Bangladesh. I mean, we treated it like a first class match, so zonal selectors who wanted to push their own zone's players selected sub-par players. Of the list you mentioned, only Badani and Gambhir can be called par. Rest are all sub par.
Looks like Tiwari cannot play in the ODIs. Hopefully he will be back for the test series. He will be an excellent player for India given his outstnading performance in the domestic circle. He is the rightful heir to Dada and should represent India for many many years to come.

"Rightful heir of dada" - Your bad dada has only bad name in the world except one place (fools stay here, they dont care national care bloody region feeling) . Did Tiwari carry forward same? I hope Tiwari does best and dont follow bad bad Ganguly path. Your dada was removed from one day series, remember that.
Rohit Sharma is the natural replacement since he is a similar player. We should try him out.
Guys, you all remember Balaji was a last minute replacement to Salvi but created an impact straight away. Hope this chap won't get injured and make a good impact..

yea yeah, Sachin should be followed by Sourav a real injured bengal tiger. lastly becomes same old Indian team......
looks like Manoj Tiwari's exit is as painful as his shoulder injury. he should take a lesson or two from senior players regarding how to prevent major injuries in international matches.looks like a career is being nipped in the bud

if he asks his seniors, he will only learn how to "hide" injuries, hoping he will be ok on the match day. Better let him learn to be honest.

He'll learn how to sprain ankle from Tendulkar and how to break the nose from dravid. Poor guy. Feel sorry for him.
It is good for him otherwise he would also be dumped as a supporter of Ganguly and only lead to further factionism in our great indian cricket team who only play for money not for the country
