Why blame Gilly for using squash ball. I feel it causes more inconveience to grip and you need good technique to negotiate class bowlers. He has proved time and again that he is the greatest wicket keeper batsman in the history of Cricket and can walk into any international side of any era. He has been fine sportsman without waiting for the decision he had walked on many occasions. To prove the point that he has earned ungamely advantage of using a squash ball some others also have to prove that. Many players know that it is not only difficult to hold but also rididculous to attribute the efforts of Gilchrist to a half sized squash ball and I am pained to see some of them are even abusing him of using drugs in the final. He has been successful at all levels and in all conditions. It is nothing but idiosyncracy to criticise him instead of accepting him as the best in the business either behind or in the front of the wickets. Such accusations ae uncalled for and unsavoury. for Gods sake let us bury this issue
SL team never left Sri Lanka, boasting that that they will win the worl cup. They never had BIG names attached to their Team. for instance (TEAM -----),(MEN IN ----)They were so humble in the competition, when WASSIM RAJA asked Jayasooriya while presenting the Man of the match awardagainst Bangladesh, I remember he said "We still haven'tthought of that sice there are couple of more matches before that and we take one match at a time" so this simply says that SL did not play cricket out of the ground. They were totally focused on the task they had in their hand.Not a single SL fan or a team member is madly sorry that they lost to Australia. Australia beat everyone in the competition, so what is there to be ashamed of beaten by the best team of the world. Infact SL had nothing to loose. On the other hand think of this. Austrailia who was fighting to win the third world cup desparately needed to win. Fair enough. You play to win. BUT IF THAT WIN WOULD HAVE BEEN WITH OUT ANY HICKUPS LIKE GILLY'S TRICK... IT WOULD HAVE BEEN CLEAN. ISN'T IT.
In any case this world cup started with a tragedywith Pakistan coach and ended with tradegy with Gill's trick. In my opinion both the incidents are not good for cricket. AFTER ALL CRICKET IS GENTLEMENS GAME. ISN'T IT. Gentlemen are always fair. They don't cheat. No never they cheat.

I feel very bad that every one is supporting the aussies .When any one is asked whether it is legal to use a squash ball inside the glove every one says "HAHAAAAAAHHAAAAAAAH ITS is a silly question it is very legal."and he gives the explanation that it is equvivalent to use a extra inner I have a big doubt why Gilchrist used a squash ball only if a extra inner would serve the purpose This is the holyshit that always happens in cricket whenever an australian does some thing wrong they make it legal by laughing at others that it was a silly question . and for example if jayasuriya had had used the squash ball he would have already been thrown away from cricket

Have they ever said that they would have won the match if Gilchrist had not used the squash ball?? How did you assume that? It shows what a loser you are!! The thing is that the Lankans are not nincompoops like Indians to sit tight!! They voiced their dissent, thats it, they will move on! Now Mr Justus "Winner in life" Jose, reverse the situation hypothetically; say Jayasuriya had used a squash ball and Lanka had won the match!! Wouldn't Ponting have called foul?? Ofcourse he would have and the British media and the Aussie media would have been behind him in calling the head of the ICC!!
It is not the issue Lanka crying foul! It is the issue of using any gear that is legally not permitted by the cricket rulings!! A Squash ball in your gloves is not part of standard cricketing gear! Whether the presence of that squash ball lent more comfort and support to the handle or it was just talismanic from the point of view of gilly, only time will tell!!

friends, its not fair to say Murali is a chuckers, he has been tested and he has cleared all the tests by ICC, the comments who ever has posted here are out of frustration of India losing to SL. Srilanka has shown better performance than India and have reach upto the level of finals of world cup. So its a narrow minded work to talk nuisance about them, also i don't know on what basis people are praising australia, they are talented i agree with that, but they have the blood which is full of racism, we know how they have treated any team who played against them in Australia. Cricket is a gentlemen's game, so cricket fans also should be gentlemen. so lets not comment on any body with out a solid basis
