PROBLEM WITH INDIAN CRICKET
by kkeevviinn on May 09, 2007 06:37 PM

The real problem with Indian cricket is 'ONLY ELEVEN PLAY THE GAME ON THE GROUND, ONE BILLION PEOPLE TRY TO PLAY THE SAME GAME INSTEAD OF THE REAL ELEVEN"
Just imagine! what must be going through the minds of guys like Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Shewarg, when they go out to bat?? It's not only the innings that they are going to bat I am sure. They must be obviously thinking of their families too. 'IF I FAIL WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY FAMILY? HOW WILL FANS TREAT THEM IF I FAIL?"
This pressure alone is sufficient for any great player to fail. You need all your concentration focused on one goal when you bat.
How can these poor guys concentrate when they are treated like unwanted criminals back home, where they were treated like GODS couple of months back??
You Indian public dismiss them more than the bowlers of opposition, when you treat their families like that.
You should have a national campaign and support them and declare even before they start the Bangladesh first ODI "DRAVID, WE WILL FORGIVE YOU AND YOUR GREAT TEAM EVEN IF YOU FAIL IN BANGLADESH. WE INDAI AS A NATION ARE BEHIND YOU IN YOUR FIGHT.WE WILL PROTECT YOUR FAMILIES" Send them a message and see,YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENT INDIAN TEAM PLAYING DIFFERENT CRICKET IN BANGLADESH.
Right now they are afraid. Give them the assuarance. They will performe.

Right Mr. Dravid!
by rajdeep seth on May 09, 2007 01:39 PM

You are absolutely right Mr. Dravid! You will have to play tough cricket even against Bangladesh! Keep it up. And when you face Australia they will play tough cricket. And you can wait your turn again against Bangladesh. Or may be Kenya? Good luck!

SACK DRAVID
by Rahul nanda on May 09, 2007 11:38 AM  | Hide replies

Dravid before the world cup-- Our aim is to get into the super 8's.
Result- India never made it to super 8

what was the big deal in getting into super 8's...it was a calk walk....still we didnt get through.

Dravid before bangladesh tour- THIS IS JUST ANOTHER SERIES.
BANGLADESH HAS IMPROVED ALOT.
REVENGE IS NOT ON OUR MIND.
Series win is our main aim.

DRAVID IS FULL OF SHIT......HOW CAN HE MOTIVATE HIS OWN TEAM WITH SUCH STATEMENTS.....BATTING IS TOTALY DIFFERENT FROM LEADING 10 MEN....
NOONE CAN MAKE ANYONE AGRESSIVE....

CAPTAINCY...HAS NOT CHANGED DRAVID...HE IS STILL A PUSSY..

HOPE WE UNDERSTAND ....U CANT MAKE ANYONE AGGRESSIVE....

EITHER U R ...OR U R ...NOT...
GANGULY IS...DRAVID IS NOT.....
WHO PAYS FOR THIS BLUNDER....INDIA

Well Dear Rahul Nanda
Rahul never was and never will become a great captain.
He is not like Steve Waugh who used to translate his killer instincts when batting into some good decisions as well as friendly banters when captain.
Rahul has a steely resolve; his innings of 148 at Headingly; 233 at Adelaide; 180 at Eden Gardens prove that.
But the fact is that he has to translate this into decision making to which he is unsucessful. It was totally the other way round for Saurav Ganguly.
So if Rahul is making such statements. we must forgive him because it should be known that he is a toy as shameless Ravi Shastri is the manager.
Any way , Indian captains will continue to make such comments and they will continue to lose.

Ganguly should be made non playing captain ..
by Osho Rajneesh on May 09, 2007 10:31 AM  | Hide replies

Ganguly may not have much batting skills.
But he has the right connections and
sponsors.

Ganguly really knows how to boss around
the younger players.

Dude, captain of the team doesn't only mean to BOSS the youngsters, as u said, captain is the person in the team who leads from the front, its not ordering to younger players to perform, and not performing by himslef. and whats the meaning of non-playing captain? just enjoying the money, power and sponsorship whether the team wins or looses! is that means non-playing captain....?

Will Dravid step down?
by RAJESH SREEDHARAN on May 09, 2007 10:14 AM  | Hide replies

If India lose any of the One Day Match in this series, will Dravid be ready to step down from captaincy???

Still he is feeling that Bangladesh is a tougher side to beat when other captains like Ponting are saying that these are minnows.. Then how can he lead the team to victory?

Every battle (macth) should be won in the mind first....

If Indian team cosists of 11 individual players, then what is the purpose of selecting a captain?
It is the captain's duty to unite the team in tough situations as Ganguly did...

being Agressive means not just giving statements or taking out shirts or umpring with arguements or engage in backstage politics the XI players perfromed for the team team won matches even when ganguly was captain. Take out dravid and sachin contributions then u see the succsess/ average of ganguly as captain.. watch the WC match against BL how the BD players played to win match while some ind players commited to defeat their own team.
