The World had boycotted both South Africa and Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe)for practicing racism, and discrimination against the coloreds and blacks. Now that both South Africa and Zimbabwe are independent, they obtained sporting rights and 'liberated' from the various embargos that were imposed. Zimbabwe under President Mugabe took a retroactive step and began a reverse discrimination process in the name of equity. He has not only indulged in land grabbing, but also rendered his country bankrupt. The problem with Mugabe is that he is wearing the garb of late Idi Amin, and this does not spell good for the country. There is every reason to boycott Zimbabwe whether ICC likes it or not.
isn't it funny that no matter what the topic is, people turn it to Indian cricket, the debacle called WC2007 as well as taking their frustation on sachin and sourav.
this article is about Zim and Aus. Zim is probably a million times worse than casteism infected parts of India. Reverse racism and mindless violence against the whites have left the country in a very precarious position. these issues coupled with AIDS and other diseases are making the country a very violent and unstable place to live.
these are real issues in real world, not each person's complex translating into hate messages against the cricketers.
i wish the ICC takes action to remove Zimbabwe (ala apartheid S Africa) and BCCI should support such movement.

I think BCCI won't go against Zimbabwe. Better they will like to ban Australlia playing Cricket because Indian Cricket team will not want to loose team like zimbabwe because they can beaten by easily.

r u sure zimbabwe can be beaten "easily" by our indian morons? Bcoz i have serious doubts....after seeing another team who could have been "easily" beaten, beat the hell out of our indian morons.
Aussies rule the cricket world. They deserve that recognition. $2Mil is peanuts. They will pay and get on ahead. We(indians) losers are talking still of retainer fee of Rs 5 Lakhs. Who is kissing whoes is still a huge question???? Our International team needs to grow up.

And all the Indian cricket fans (millions or billions) should be fined for supporting a crappy team all these years along, that never functioned as a team. Too much individualism spoiled the team. The media and ultimately the fans are responsible for this.
As per ICC rules, you can not carry anything except cricket gears on ground, but Adam Gil. played with squash ball in his gloves in final, have they taken any action on them?

I think Adam Gilchrist practised with the squash ball in his gloves but didn't use it in the finals !

i guess keeping a squash ball under the glove is not illegal man. if is bat wieght goes above the standards then its illegal. same like this sachin's and sourav's bat handle is also long and no one complained its illegal.

Absolutely, What Gil said is he has practiced with a squash ball. He never mentioned that he has used a squash ball inside his gloves during the finals. Pls read the bbc interview with him regarding this. Our local media hyped and extra manipulated the news..

yes., robin - even since sachin and sourav are the current villans of indian cricket, i look forward to comments that criticize them for the kind of undergarments they wear ...
