20-20 Cricket is against India because..
by mudit saxena on Jun 30, 2007 04:12 PM  | Hide replies

I was watching 20-20 b/w WI and england and it occured to me that India is not and can never be ready for this game.
we all know 20-20 cricket sheer raw muscle power and our country where 90% cricketers are born Rahul Dravid we can't hope to make 170 score in 20 overs.
At best we can score 150 off 20 overs and then rely on over bowlers to do the trick.
Except for dhoni no one can really smash the ball hard enough to clean the ropes Consistantly. We know how over team collapses under pressure. I remember on several ocassions when we neened 100 of some 95 balls with 8 or 9 wickest in hands, our players faild to hit the needed bounderies coz every time they tried to hit a big shot they were caught weel within the boundry rope. So, we can stick to the wicket in longer versions of the game where talent is more omportant than power but this 20-20 version is not Designed for Indians. We are naturally built like sissies. We carry far less muscles than our western counterparts. We are mostaly shameless vegetarians and coz of some stupid unknown reason , proud of being a vegetraian. All the vegetarians are a disgrace to cricket and other physical games and should be banned from all the physical sports.

Dude, I hope u know all that u just said applies to you also. Well ofcourse if you are an indian, unless you are some western guy 'loving' to have indian name.

1608 4s, 161 6s - Sachin (387 odis)
493 4s, 64 6s - yuvi (in 174 odis)
1062 4s, 181 6s - Saurav(294 odis)
189 4s, 70 6s - Dhoni(75 odis)

This is from the current lot. All these boundaries looks like opposition just throw the ball to the boundary themselves right.

India is not improving coz of people like u. Born and Brought up in india, eating food that is from india, drinking water from india and still talking nonsense about india. Man(not sure if u r really one or sissy), learn to love ur country.

I do agree with u both Mr.saxena is not Indian and I am also has all the doubt he ever played cricket in his life. Hitting sixes or fours is not always muscle power. Did he watched playing Mr.sidhu? People used call him sixer sidhu.Whatever he said is just applies to him not any other indians. Indian cricket team is always a much much batting team.
Please.. you Mr.wahtever and you eat whatever.. do not type shit in the room.

Thanks,

Free Hit
by mohammed ali on Jun 30, 2007 01:20 PM

The limited over cricket is already in favour of the batsman. Batsman know the fastest bowler cannot bowl more than one bouncer. Even a tailender will lift him for sixes. Its a very stupid rule. In fact they should have given the bowler advantage of another bouncer. It would have made the game more competitive.

Spread the game ICC
by chetan naik on Jun 30, 2007 10:40 AM

Instead of changing the rules ICC should concentrate on spreading the game so that it is played at good standard in more than 9 countries. and make the game more popular rather than changing the the rules

The free hit is absolutly stupid rule, This will allow the batsman to have slog. What make cricket a special game because of the skill level of players, don't make it baseball.

Why do we go to see a one day match
by Karan Hi on Jun 30, 2007 10:23 AM

Would people like a game where 150 odd runs are scored in 50 overs or 290 - 300 runs !!

Please give your wise comments just keeping the above in mind.

Cricket is for money.
by ahamed sharif on Jun 30, 2007 10:15 AM

ICC is going bankrupt. That's why it is bringing all funny rules.

Shortly a rule can be expected which says any ball bowled faster than 100 kms is a no ball. ha ha ha ha ha. Or googly is a no ball.

Too Complicated
by Umesh on Jun 30, 2007 10:14 AM

Great Guys..... The way things are going, in future we definitely need some constitutional experts to interprete the rules and regulations. ICC .... please keep the game simple and enjoyable. Dont complicate it by too many regulations.

Pro Batsmen
by Bhaskar on Jun 30, 2007 10:10 AM

We will have a day when the batsman will get extra 100 runs if a bowler bowls a delivery. if the bowler does bowl then the batsmen again will get 100 run. If a bowler commit suicide in the field, the batsmen gets 100 runs.
