A billion peoples one man with determinant break all record in a cricketing world. And what we do.We trying to pull him downer and downer till downest ,criticise him and except him to winning all match single handly. Why we so jelos of sachin... is it because he is a hardwork.genius.Or becose he earn most money that we can even imagine or becose he has a devotes wife and 2 happy children or becose inspite of all these he is such a down earth and simple person...or becose most of us always aspire never get any of the above why are all of us so jelos of this man...think about it

I think
by raja sikdar on Jun 29, 2007 03:21 PM

I think captaincy should be given to ganguly again. Dravid has lead india for all these years without any big victory. Sourav can do the job well as he is more aggresive. There is no other player in indian team who can take up captaincy right at this moment.

Winning n losing is a part of the game, thn why do we always get the losing part only? :(

why is everyones memory like that of goldfish in the land of elephants....
how do you forget the little kid who took on pakistans dreaded pacers at the age of 16....can you imagine what you were at sixteen....suckin you thumb....and the person who got back to serve his nation just a few days after his fathers death....can you even think of that.... you need passion for the game and the nation to do what he has done....he is human and so his acts are great....if you wanna blame anyone blame the unworthy bcci officials for those a*s*ho**S have ruined the game and the team in india with their unqualified team and selfish gimmics

Was not exactly sucking my thumbs but I'm pretty sure if given the opportunity I would take on the West Indian bowlers from the 70's as well :).. But yea people you should stop bashing Sachin.. Put pressure on the younger lot.. ;)..

What is the big deal in facing pakistani pacers at 16 and scoring nothing ?? Also he came back to play immediately after his fathers death so that he did not want to miss the opportunity to hit a century against Kenya. I doubt he would have come back immediately to play if the match was against Australia !! The fact of the matter is Sachin was never a match winner and never will be !! He might create records for his own selfish sake (To extract further millions from the sponsors)!! Its time for him to retire and let young blood take over the mantle of resurrecting India's dismal performances !1

Let's say youngsters take over the mantle of resurrecting the Indian Cricket team.. we'll have to be patient with them for a long period of time. it's not going to be easy for them to come in to the team and start performing like McGrath or Ponting Or Warne or whichever Australian player you feel like naming. We're an impatient lot. If the youngsters don't perform then we want to throw them out coz they aren't performing upto our expectations. What we need is a sensible fan base who enjoy the game for what it is and not whether our team is winning or losing and also not using cricket as a basis to unnecessarily talk about region. religion etc.. We need fans who are sensible enough to accept a loss and enjoy a win..

Why is it that any new player Australia throws into the international ring performs immediately without having to be patient for long periods of time. Take the case of Michael Hussey, Brad Hodge, Michael Clarke, Simon Katich et. all. The answer to India's losing woes lies somewhere in deciphering the first statement !!

He may not be playing like he used to, but he's been pretty consistent. We need the snior lot to guide the younger lot and there's no one better than Sachin who can do so.

Yeah he is very consistent in gobbling overs to make runs (99 in 25 overs (half of Indian Innings) not for the sake of an Indian win but for his personal milestones so that he can squeeze further millions from his sponsors !!

As an Indian Cricketer,I'll score runs only through 4's and 6's. It'll be great insult for my country if I score runs by 1's and 2's like what the poor Australians and South Africans are doing. We don't want to win matches by insulting our country.

Ok Mr. Sarcastic.. It's kinda sad to see that our players don't have an iota of support with them.. they played slow in the previous game.. agreed... the conditions were difficult.. you just can't go to a new country and play like you play at home.. The conditions, pitches etc are kinda different.. they need some time to get used to the conditions and all you Sachin & Rahul bashers it's because of them that we could reach a respectable score of 240 odd.. Sachin was slow but the conditions were not good for batting were they?
