These cricketers are getting pension for what they did during playing days. Any one is free to take up any job after retirement. These cricketers should sue BCCI for stopping their pension. Arun

Very true. They should not take this dadagiri from BCCI lying down. How can the BCCI tell them what to do,and what not to do?This cricket body of our country must be the most dictatorial body in the world. So much arrogance for what? For running and runing one of the most incompetent teams in the cricket world??
I think this is good for cricket lovers. It seems that indian cricket is following the path of the NFL & AFL (American Football) and Baseball. We will soon have our own Indian superCricket like the American superbowl and lets see if BCCI or the ICL team wins. Personally, i am excited.

you are correct.at least now fools like pawar and peoplelike modi would try to make an attempt to improve the game.
Duleep Trophy The Duleep Trophy competition was started by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 1961-62. It is named after Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji. The original format was that five teams, drawn from the five zones, played each other on a knock-out basis. From the 1993-94 season however, the competition converted to a league format. The 2005-06 competition was won by West Zone after they beat East Zone by five wickets in the final.
Deodhar Trophy The current one-day cricket competition in Indian domestic cricket is the Deodhar Trophy. It is named after Prof. D. B. Deodhar (known as the Grand Old Man of Indian cricket) and is a 50-over one-day competition played on a league basis among the 5 zonal teams - North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone and Central Zone. The competition was introduced in 1973-74 season with South Zone winning the trophy. The winner of the 2005-06 competition was North Zone for whom this was a record 11th tournament victory.
Ranji Trophy The Ranji Trophy is the domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between state and city sides, equivalent to county cricket in England and the Pura Cup in Australia, and also denotes the trophy that is awarded to the winner.
NKP Salve Challenger Trophy In 1994-95, the Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI introduced the Challenger series, an annual day-night one-day tournament, keeping in view India's one-day international commitments. The Challenger series is played with the purpose of show-casing the talent that the country has, as well as providing opportunities to younger players to make an impression. The tournament is played in October before the start of Ranji season. From 1998-99 the tournament was known as the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, named after former Board of Control for Cricket in India president NKP Salve - the man who brought the World Cup to the sub-continent in 1987.
Irani Trophy The Irani Trophy tournament was conceived during the 1959-60 season to mark the completion of 25 years of the Ranji Trophy championship and was named after the late Z.R. Irani, who was associated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from its inception in 1928, till his death in 1970. The fixture is always played between the previous year's Ranji Trophy winners and the Rest of India Team.
I feel BCCI should encourage such a competitive body. This will help the nation to bring out more talented players to the national team. Therefore it may be blessing in disguise for BCCI in spotting talents.
I am still not sure whether it is prudent to stop their monthly pension in view of their involvement with the rebel body. Their association with ICL may enrich the game, and will help more players to show case their talents, and may gain entry into the national team later.
RE:BCCI to stop pension to Mr.Patil, More and Kapil!?

Most of the culprits in the BCCI have not played cricket itself. Who are they to decide to stop paying pension to our ex-team players. As usual Politics plays here.
Suppose you find a good allrounder with ICL, what will BCCI do? Will they select him for the Indian team or just drop him only because he is from a rival group?

I think Kapil, More and Patil should send show cause notices to the BCCI for stopping their pensions. Cos they are helping the BCCI finding alternate talent search without a penny spent from the pocket of BCCI.What say?
