Sourav Captain - Every Problem is sloved
by g reddy on Jun 17, 2007 01:59 PM

Rahul better step down,he is a good player I think eveyone accepts that, but he is not at all a good captain who can motivate,be agressive, lead the team like a leader,be focused when needed,he doesnt have the killer instinct the captain should have...all the above qualities are with Ponting,Steve Waugh....Steve Waugh and Pontig themselves mentioned SOURAV is a very touch captain to play against....he is best captain ever for Indian...(other was Azhar), Sourav is the person who made or created o naurished players like (Youraj,Bajji,Pathan,Zaheer,Kaif etc) who was touch like the austrlian's on the field, who as the cuts to remove his shirt on the Lords bolcony.......
It better recall Sourav back as captain for next two years...and for sure he can make a better team for the next world cup..as he did when he did in 2003.

Hope the people in BCCI listens the people of India....

Dravid has lot of guts. Sachin is the spineless wimp at the moment. Sachin used to have a lot of spine several years ago. Now Sachin's spine has neen replaced by Sachin's pride and money power.

you are nonsense comment on Sachin like that.
Why Dravid spineless's failure you put on Sachin.

This spineless can not be a leader, can not inspire anybody in the team and
does whole lot of shit mistakes. Why others should bear his all nonsense mistakes.
He is not gentleman, rather Cheap person, holding the position yet.
He should learn from other world captain and leaders.

Too much blah blah
by Aalsi on Jun 17, 2007 06:49 AM

There is so much blah blah going on.Seriously it is very irritating. Why can't he just shut for once and for next one year show some good results.
What is the point of losing when it matters and winning when there is hardly anything left to salvage?

Dravid is a Joker
by Shishir Shastry on Jun 17, 2007 12:58 AM  | Hide replies

Clearly, by trying to open his mouth on things that he is not supposed to be involved with, Dravid is making an ass of himself.

First of all he is not the BCCI Chief to comment. His job is to play hard and lead the team. Instead, he is a loser, shamelessly lost the World Cup contest and now trying to act like a "Conoisseur".

He used to be a great batsman, but today he is a can of Trash.

He has no business talking to the media. He is the worst Captain India ever had/ or will ever have...

Ford's pulling out not a lost opportunity: Dravid
by Ajay Parekh on Jun 16, 2007 10:53 PM  | Hide replies

dravid is a thinking cricketer, n like Gavaskar, can be a good commentator on retirement. however, both are good for the purpose of commentary and not for the job of captaincy, as they are bad captains on the field with no success to corrobarate their plans.

I think that Dravid's record as captain is quite good. Just look at his record and compare it to that of anyone including Ganguly. I think that it is a wrong perception that he has not been that successful.

Dear Mr. Verma,

Do you close your eyes when you watch cricket? Or do you see only Match Records.
We need captain to unite palyers and lead them from front. In world cup Vs Bangladesh, we could have won, if we had atacking field from Over 1. But Dravid didnt attack and waited for wckts to fall.
We had defended 125 Vs Pakistan at Sharjah and not to forget 1983 WC final, 166 vs West Indies.

Also in 2003 under Ganguly, we defended 151 vs Holland in 1st Match. Holland bolwed out for 50 Runs. It was attacking strategy.

Captains like Lara (reached super8) Stephen Fleming (Reached semis)have Resigned. But Dravid is Shameless. He should give way to Sourav!!

Suggesting that Gavaskar was a bad captain only potrays india's ignorance of its past.He was the captain with most test victories(9)before saurav and Azhar.Kindly compare his record with Kapil dev for example.

Ramdas Iyer
Indian coach
by Ramdas Iyer on Jun 16, 2007 10:31 PM

The Indian team is a team of losers. Frankly Ford was afraid about losing his reputation and thats why he refused to coach India. The reputation of a splendid player like Chappell has been destroyed forever by the stupid incompetent Indian team. Chappel escaped narrowly with his life unlike Woolmer who was brutally murdered. In fact no one ever will now coem forward to coach the Indian team because it is a bloody cesspool.

you win some matches and you lose some. That doesnt necessarily mean you fix the ones that you lost. Give Bangadesh the credit, even SA suffered at their hands.

This shows preparation is the key, and you cant take any game casually. Look at SL and NZ, they rested all their key players for a game and lost games that although academic were critical in terms of moral victory. The Aussies are ruthless and dont want to lose a single game in an important tourno. They were totally putdown by everyone coming into the WC after losing a unneeded tour to NZ which most players boycotted, saying Mgrath is old and this and that. They still won the tourno thumping every team in the way, and idiots are saying GC did it for them by ruining the Indian team. If only as a professional we encourage people to prepare. Preparation is they key, somehow our brilliant minds do so well in examinations in terms of preparation, however once we start working most of them just lose focus on its importance.
