A spanking to Sachins critics (aka Donkeys)
by Sumeet on Jun 14, 2007 08:08 AM

Ha Ha Ha ha losers...See what ponting says.
This is not just a statement.. understand this properly you plastic ball playing donkeys.
mark pontings words.
He 'is' (and not 'was') the benchmark in 'world' cricket. What does that mean??
That every aspiring champion cricketer thinks of matching Sachins skills, temperament etc.

It started from first Bradman, Sobers, Warne, Richards etc and now Ponting himself who is regarded the contemporary great.
When ponting was asked this question abt Sachins retirement by one Indian donkey in Australia, Ponting replied 'Sachin is the best judge to decide, but I guess he still has more than couple of years in him'.

Shame on you people who are asking for his retirement. Show us one person who has played decent cricket criticizing Sachin. Its those plastic ball cricket playing losers here on Rediff who cannot understand the difference between Test Cricket and ODI's bray on.

Best Days are yet to come for Sachin
by rajesh tiwari on Jun 14, 2007 01:29 AM  | Hide replies

Whoever have followed cricket ...knows that players like Sachin go through this kind of phase. He has been playing cricket for 16 years and in this time his body have changed. We have seen several players who after playing for long time go through this phase. As their body reflexes changes and they take time to adjust it. We saw Brian Lara going through this phase , we saw Arvinda de silva and Jayasurya going through similar phase. Its just a matter of time when Sachin find the right balance and then you will see all the world bowlers scared to bowl to Sachin. We all know he is a great talent and I am sure he will bounce back. All the great players( Batsman) best days have been between the age of 33 to 36.
Dont forgot the greatest bowler of all times used to nightmares of Sachin hitting him outside the ground. If I and other Sachin fans are not to be believed then atleast believe the greatest bowler of all time Shane.

Once Sachin comes back to his form all these bachhas will shut their mouths . Go Sachin ...go we are with you ...we know being in out-of-form also makes one of the best batsman ..and once you are in-form you will reach mount everest.

i agree with you. jayasuriya went through a terrible terrible phase, he was moved down the order, it didnt work. so he was dropped, and as we all know, he has come back, even better, as he is more consistent now.

so maybe, after aussie series, IF tendulkar is doing badly, they should drop him, and bring him back after a few months.

btw, it feels so good to hear a truly great batsman like ricky ponting say that sachin was his favourite cricketer from his young days!

Ponting is a bachcha, eh? Not really. He is the best batsman in the world at the moment and is likely to stay there for a few more years.

Yes, Sachin can come back in a while and be a better batsman than he is right now. But when Sachin becomes Colonel, Ponting might become General.

Agree with you that Sachin might have better days in store. But learn to recognise greatness when you see it. The last decade was Sachin & Lara's. This one is Ponting's.

I don't agree. Firstly remember something. What you are talking is based only on the records of Test match cricket. Dont you forget the ODIs. Sachin has the most number of centuries in both forms and the highest run scorer in ODIs.

Another point to remember: He scored his first ODI century after 71 matches and has been sidelined for for than 70 matches due to injury. Ponting has never faced much of an injury scare.

Some people are very ungrateful to him though he has contributed a lot. Because of his devotion to cricket, he has suffered so much. With injury, it might affect your games.

And how dare you say that "when sachin becomes colonel, ponting becomes general?" Sachin has already been a general when ponting was just an ordinary recruit. That too, a five-star general.

Listen, sachin is the most orthodox bastmen in the world. Ponting sometimes becomes like dhoni. But sachin is very professional and never gets down from the highest class of cricket he has settled himself with.
Not only you this alarm goes to everone who critisises sachin:

He dosent score a century: You say he has gone old and lost his touch
He scores a century: You say that it is agaimst minnows, blame his strike rate, say that the pitch is a batting pitch, say that he is doing it for records

Comeon who dosent do it for records? Setting a record is the only encouragement for batsmen in any sport. Without that motivations, big stars will collapse.

For Sachin's rivals and critics
by mohd hyder ali on Jun 13, 2007 11:10 PM  | Hide replies

This is for rivals and critics of The Greatest Sachin Tendulkar.Just read on what Ponting the best batsman presently has to say about the tormentor of Australian bowling line up.
Ponting himself has grown up admiring Sachin's game right from his younger days which is again a tribute from another Australian apart from Donald Bradman who termed Sachin as Modern Bradman and the list of such tributes is endless.
So atleast this should make critics shut their mouths and give Sachin free space and air to let him discover his own form and reach new heights which becomes unreachable to his compatriots like Ponting.

Yes...give Sachin another 10 years and let him play against Scotland, Bermuda so he can recover his form...but don't expose him against Bng'desh otherwise he will lose his confidence and will become normal Sachin...Good Luck Mohd & Sachin...

you fool he is just saying because he is in india and he know indians like to hear this. do you think he is an honest person. he wants sachin to keep playing for india so that aus can win without problem. when sachin plays (i mean he is in the team) aussies know they are playing against 10 not 11. it is not a secret that sachin plays against bangladesh only.

When a player other than an Indian criticises Sachin you people would accept it and say that he is right. But when an outsider praises Sachin you would not acknowledge it and say that he does not want to antoganise Indians. Sachin is still the best batsman in international cricket and the lean patch is only temporary. Wait and see how he performs in England. Please reserve your criticisms till then.
