by Lakshminarayanan TS on Jun 15, 2007 06:11 PM

it is really high time that v drop unceremoniously both the selfish and good for nothing cricketers now.they r undoubtedly ganguly and tendulkar.these two will make indian ckt team like our present hocky team before they finally retire and enjoy a lavish personal life out of tax payers money. all their extra wealth r to b immediately confisicated and they r to b forced to lead an ordinary life like when they were 20yrs back.

Test lineup in 3 years
by Soreass Gengley on Jun 13, 2007 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

Guys, in 3 years, Dravid, Ganguly and most likely Tendulkar will be retired, along with Kumble and Laxman.

What will be the test line-up then: I propose:

Jaffer, Sehwag, Karthik, Tiwary, Raina, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Piyush Chawla, Zaheer, Pathan, Nehra

Captain: Sehwag, VC: Karthik

I chose Nehra as I think he will make a big comeback. Balaji/Munaf could replace him.

Ganguly can not retire without spoiling the next upcoming World Cup by creating groupism and make his group not to play during critical situations. Your expectations are wrong.

If you can axe sehwag and bhajji and not consider pathan for selection then Tendulkar and Ganguly shld also have been dropped. They are very mean persons and only play for their records and money.Somebody save team india and us from these two selfish palyers

yes.I don't know why BCCI selects these old guys(tendulkar, ganguly, zaheer) once again?.I think BCCI considers previous records and money only, the y are not having any future plans. Why BCCI not taking india's n0-1 all rounder pathan?. Politics and money motive plays very important role in indian cricket. This will destroy our world cup winning dream soon.I am not considering Sachin is a great batsman. He is not playing well in foregin grounds. He is hero only in local grounds.Sachin and Sourav destroys
our world cup winnig dream.

hello Deepak and Senhil Kumar
As expected you guys start criticising Sachin and keeping him more popular and always in momemtum. Deepak says - to drop Sachin - someone who got man of the series just a week ago. If Deepak's brother or son is in similar position of Sachin - will he write the same words? Useless idiot.
I think Senthil Kumar is working freely and donating whatever he receives unlike sachin?
Both these guys should have been disgruntled elements who might have watched the young sachin growing and glowing from 15 to 33 years. No cricketer has ever played under that much tension as sachin always due to expectations of people and he is not immortal and has his own strength and weaknesses. Great Don lauds this Sachin and world's greatest spin bowler Warne had nightmarish experience becoz of Sachin and legend speed bowlers have all praise for our little genius. Barking by Deepaks and Senthil Kumars - who might not have dreamt of carrying such a huge responsibillity that sachin carried in his prime youth. These guys write some non-sense just to criticise him. Let these idiots continue their barking - but Indians would like to watch this legend play for as long as he could - because - after Bradman the legend, Sachin the genius and let these guys bring their own sons to reach the calibre of Sachin that started from his tender age of 15 instead of crying over his success and growth. These dull headed idiots with closed opinion on individuals do it just to ge

It is really sad to hear such comments for our cricketing heroes who have contributed so much for Indian Cricket. I doubt any other cricketer past or present has done so much for Indian Cricket.

Woh hai Verender Sehwag

Amma yaar iskey balley ko kia howa?
Atishi Balla Kidher gaya Sehwag Ji?

I know it. Opt not giving you chance for drop catches.....

You should play with PAK, you will get 3 4 chances to build inning.

As it is in our Indian Politics, BCCI wants too old ones in Cricket. Old is gold is the MANTRA of BCCI. Why, Kumble, Agarkar, Tendulkar, Dravid Laksman and Ganguly?

never play a test without VVS
by joe on Jun 13, 2007 02:35 PM

from the team selected, i guess these would be the bowlers for the Lords Test.

Zaheer
Kumble
RP Singh
Sreesanth

i am not comfortable with RP Singh in that list, he showed a lot of promise in bangladesh, but i somehow have a feeling that if he has a bad test or two, the other three would find it very difficult to bowl out england twice. if they go for the fifth bowler option then one among laxman or ganguly will sit out...dear o dear, tht would mean a lengthy tail. we miss that allrounder. it s a real shame that despite all these years ganguly has never made an effort to improve his bowling to a consistent level. which ever strategy india follows......RP Singh somehow destroys the balance. arguments are welcome. never play a test match without VVS Laxman

bye bye sehwag
by vinoth kumar on Jun 13, 2007 01:59 PM  | Hide replies

Bcci did the right thing by dropping sehwag from both the test and one dayers.bcci should have dropped even for the world cup mathchers.but due to captain's compulsion they selected him.but this time they decided he should be part of the team any more.by dropping from the squad they send strong message not only to sehwagt but also all other players that the current form is an important criteria for selection.i would to thank the selection commitee for giving antoer chance for sharma's.i have the confindent in both of them that they will perform in the one dayers.dhoni has been given extra responsibity as he has been named vice captian of india.this is very good move by selection commitee.i am eager to see how dhoni performs under pressure as he has to make some important decisionat at the curical time.
