This is a welcome inclusion. Very high hope on this lad. But I guess he get a chance only when Seniors are flopping and faking injury. Anyway wish him luck and wish he get a chace and prooves.
You have earned your place. You are a good bowler wh has restricted the run flow in the previous matches. But now, it is not the sub continent pitches anymore. The ranji trophy matches he played were also only indian pitches.
The english pitches support pace bowling. As sreesanth and zaheer are also present, he should be carefully bowling each ball if he wants to secure his place in the side. Bose, another new bowler can swing the ball better than any of the current pace bowlers. But sharma's only weapon is bounce. So if he fails, he will soon be neglected in the selections as he has failed in conditions which best support his bowling.

You are talking about Ishant Sharma..Rohit Sharma is a middle-order batsman and a part time off-spinner

Dude Sharma is a batsman who can bowl off spinners and not a pace bowler as you think

duides it a game played by mumbai lobbies.pity on u pawar this is shamefull
Good luck Rohit. I doubt if at all u will be in the playing 11, by good luck if ur in 11 grab it with both hands. If u waste the chance u will be back to square. The selectors and the senior players won't let u back to Team India.Even if ur succesful do not sign any contracts, till the seniors retire. Good luck to you.

Rohit, please take success and failure normally. because those who grew to heights with success are really at the rock bottom as of now. u know whom i mean. so do ur best and play for Team India.
Most of our young crciketers are shining in the initial stages and unable to build their career forward with best result by scoring, taking wickets and performing outstanding fielding. I wish Rohit Sharma and all other promising youngsters to take the Indian cricket to new heights by winning games for India and performing to the best of their abilities.
I mean seriously... instead of looking at it this way lets start looking at Team India! The zonal selection has already been scheduled to be abolished in a couple of years so it's important that the public wakes up to this fact.
Ranadeb Bose is also in the team... Not from Mumbai... He's from Kolkata. Ishant Sharma is from Delhi.
The new comers have been picked on the basis of good show at Ranji level. If you've been following the domestic circuit as closely as I have been then you'll see all these new faces have really worked hard for their places.
Bose has highest wkts. Tiwary was the highest run scorer. Rohit was instrumental in Mumbai winning the Ranji trophy.
Majority of new faces in past few years Dhoni, Sreesanth etc have been from traditionally non-cricketing centres.
Isnt that a good thing?
Lets appreciate the effort of the young turks and support them whole-heartedly so that we can have a batting line-up as strong as it has been/was for the past few years. Lets encourage them to be able replacements for the bowling attack in the years to come...
Regards, Indian Cricket Loyalist (Till eternity no matter what)

Hats off mate! i like your post, instead of criticisizing you make a real comment, others have made just made negative pessimistic remarks! "Till eternity no matter what", i think this is the true color of cricket lover.

I agree. We all should be happy for this promising young cricketer. I don't mind if everybody is from one region if the team kicks top teams' ass.
The talk of regional feeling is called "getto" mentality and i don't think you should worry that much about it.

Bose is not a youngster. He is 28 already and bowls at a disgusting pace of 125kph. Maybe in conditions that aid swing he may be useful but is definitely not a bowler who will go the distance. On good batting pitches he will be hammered all around.

U r definitely not a cricket lover if u cant appreciate Bose's ability,CRICKET LOVER!He has been selected on basis of his success in Indian pitches....I mean GUD BATTING PITCHES...it is d main reason 4 him being recognised 2 dis level wid not much pace...got it?

Tell me one bowler of India who is not hammered in good batting pitches??It seems u have played lot of cricket at the highest level that u r judging a cricketer without even watching him.A**h**l* keep ur dirty mouth shut.
