Haha..i consider panesar to be a traitor(this is my personal opinion). The problem is that we have match winning bowlers but the board and the public(including myself) turn them into formless professionals.
Irfan pathan took a hatrick in the first over vs pakistan. He performed well and a small slump and he found himself acking back to india. This destroys the morale of players and even experienced players like tendulkar and ganguly were dropped.
This makes them nervous on the field. Every ball they bowl and every shot they play is determined by public and criticising fans. Thats why sachin is now cutting off risky shots and omits taking boundaries as much as possible. He has also thrown away his once "world's heaviest bat held by an internatonal match playing cricketer" and has taken some light bat.
Harbajan singh, who was famous for drifting the ball bowls quicker and flatter now as he wants to contain the run flow rather than getting the batsmen out. Reason?-->He has lost confidence in himself as the board repeatedly drops him.
I think we can help them play their natural game by giving them suport in whatever they are doing and cheer them when they are down. Sri Lanka lose wc finals= cheerful welcome from sri lankan fans for putting up a good fight. Inda lose wc finals in 2003=beak their houses and criticise them.
