Save Indian cricket from the old peoples!!!
by bhabani satapathy on Jun 12, 2007 06:32 PM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar should retired from international cricket and should be given the responsibility as batting coach. This will be a wise decisioon because he is a good batsman and he knows the what is required for a current batsman (Old cricketers may not feel a modern cricketer). Also we need a good boaling coach may be from any old west-indian fast bowler who can give the strength to the boaling dept. The management dept should given to a management guy (not to a politician) who knows how to manage, who knows how to exceel together, who do not know how to divide & conquer.

There is no doubt that tendulkar is a good batsman but i personally dont think that he can be a good batting coach. He has a class and style that he cant teach. He can only perform.

Do all critic of dravid and fan of ganguly know this fact that The average of Dravid in all the test matches won by india under the captaincy of ganguly is 109.Just imagine his contribution in the success of Ganguly more than the avg of Don Bradman

Gavaskar go away!
by Amit Sahoo on Jun 12, 2007 05:19 PM

Sunil Gavaskar and the committee first of did not have the courtesy to call up Dav Whatmore to tell him he is out of contention and I do not see why you would not appoint Whatmore. I suppose we dont like a coach who has proven he has the potential to lead a team to a World Cup Victory. Second of all they should have at least had a second viable candidate who they could have turned after Ford had rejected the offer. But unforunately our cricket board does not have that kind of foresight!!

No Future for Indian Cricket
by Kishore GVK on Jun 12, 2007 05:05 PM  | Hide replies

Lot of points disucssed after inida's loss in WC'07 are no more in lime light. Eg:
1. Changing Slection Policy
2. Building Infrastrcuture
3. Talent Hunt
We do not have even Coach now, who we can be blamed for any future losses. I am sure even if this job is offerred to any Indian ex cricketers, they will not accept, whether you give it for 1 year or 4 years. we cannot get a common candiate who is good to board, players and media.
They lost two months without any fallback options.Who are the people who have been consiered and what si the rating of each candidate against criteria set for selection. If this kind of process followed, i am sure they should ahve 2nd option immediately on hand. They should not ahve annouced Ford's name without his confirmation.
BCCI is unable to amnage simple PR operations, by the time they do damage control, they are inot another issue, wherger is the time for long ter plan executions.

why only batting coach, bowling coach, etc., what about keeping coach? better appoint kiran more as keeping coach, let him take technical advise from miandad (for jumping)this move will give good improvemnt for present indian cricket, bcoz the only person perfoming morethan average - that is dhoni !!

As all of you know, that he was one the best players India has produced in ODI as well as Test cricket. He must be appointed as Coach.

Any comments

i agree with you, it is true, but BCCI wants only unskilled, lengthy talking person, who can colapse n experiment the batting order, they will test best bowlers batting skill in important match, same way other.

BCCI selectors deserves this kind of humiliation, because they r egoist dogs. But the sad part is that because of these Kutta's (money sharks like Pawar, Gavaskar, Shastri etc.), we all Indians r getting humiliated around the world. The best line applies to them is "Juta Maar Bheje Mein - Bheja Shor karta Hai". Guys, stop watching cricket, everything will be fine.
