The designated coaches might have sought the advice of the Great Greg Chappel.
Maybe something is wrong with BCCI in the sense that they do not have any cricketing brains but dictate the terms.

So long this BCCI persist nobody who played test Cricket /1st class cricket would like to be the coach of Indian Cricket team.

This may be the reason the Indian players are not performing to their potential.

Just think about the difference

When Wright went away there were line of people who were interested to do the job for India... But now after 3 years no body wants to take up the job.. Even our Ravi Shashtri does not want to take the responsibility for long term.... Bcoz no proper brain would like to associate himself with the licensed 420 of the country that is BCCI... BCCI is said to be the richest body in the world and see at the ground level do u think any money is been percolated at the bottom... No otherwise we would not have got the news of young cricketers commiting suicide after captaining the under 15 cricket team for India...... what a pity and what a shame for India.... ALL BCOZ OF BCCI

kahin ki eenth kahin ka roda
bhanumati ne kunba jodaa.........

there are still many people eyeing the job...having good coaching exp also...
whatmore,Patil etc..

but yes true BCCI the way it functions deserves all the discredit fro Ford decision....
why they rejected Whatmore on first place and why confirmed Ford without his nod....

Sharad Powar ko thodi si bhi ijjat hai, Desh ke liye aur khod ke liye bhi, to BCCI ko chhod de. Pahle World cup me Buri tarha hare uske upar to kuchh action liye nahi aur abhi coach ke mamle me puri duniya ke samne tamasha dikhaya. Powar BCCI & Indian cricket ko jaroor barbad ka dega.

he wouldnt last long
by hussaini on Jun 12, 2007 07:04 PM

ford was right in making the last minute decision, coz there are tough tours comming on and he would never get the chance to take bold steps like any other coach wants, the senior players in the teams allways dictate the terms which result in loosing most of the times we are playing abroad. it was obvious that he would axe seniors like sachin, ganguly and viru from the team to make way for youngsters, wonder how robbie is going to manage

As all of you know, that he was one the best players India has produced in ODI as well as Test cricket. He must be appointed as Coach.

Any comments

Ford made 100% correct decision
by sangeeth on Jun 12, 2007 04:48 PM

I appreciate ford's descision. BCCI has got a shock treatment. BCCI is the richest cricket club in the world. They believe that showing some piece of money they can make ran anybody after them like a dog.Ford shock treatment would help them to come out of the fool's world in which they r living. They announced ford as indian coach without knowing his final word and without thinking abt his contract with kent which will end in 2008 october. If ford had come to india there is every possibility that media and BCCI would make him a scapegoat for every indian failures which is going to happen throughout the year. At kent he would not face no such problems. I wish him a happy coaching career back at kent and away from the evil and greedy BCCI.

Hey Pak Idiot, just mind ur own business. V INDIANS r the best in the whole world. U can make it out by just showing ur Passport to any of the west nations, u r sure to be in trouble. Whereas v INDIANS get respect abroad & this is just due to our culture. East or West INDIA is the Best. U Pakis have no right to speak in ur own country then how can u pinpoint our Motherland. Next time u dare speak any bullshit, think 100 times before as Just 1 HINDUSTANI infant is enough on the whole of pakistan. JAI HIND....BHARAT MAATAA KI JAI.!!
