What a mess

Why is it that Indians are content with this global sporting joke known as the BCCI? Why is it that we allow this beauracracy-riddled body ruled by dirty politics and lack of vision to represent cricket in India to the whole world? In any other country, this contracts issue would be worked out in a matter of weeks and the deal reached would be in place for at least 5 years. Instead we settle for this incompetent excuse of action?? I am an Australian of Indian background who has grown up watching the Australian team play and only taken an interest in Indian cricket since the World Cup 2003. From what I have seen since, India is a team of very talented individuals who fail to deliver consistently tough cricket. And how can their cricket be consistent if their board hasn't ever shown any signs of consistency? There's the annual election with everything to do with backstabbing and one-upmanship and nothing to do with cricketing issues. There's an announcement on endorsements with no plan on how, when and why to enforce these rules. There's talk of bringing in professional selectors in but no action plan of when and how that's going to happen.

This poor excuse for cricket administration is the reason why Indian players grow up in a system so riddled with petty politics penetrating into cricket issues that they never receive the right environment in which to play their best cricket. I hear the Zee cricket league is to start soon. I will get wholeheartedly behind that. It can't b

It was a snub, then the biggest question Is anybody willing to take up to coach India, Dav whatmore had only a eye on the BCCI bank balance. Greg was sincere, but sachin does not like him, so some one who is acceptable to all, would be our own aiswarya rai, sachin's neighbour.

Greg was never sicere, he played politics and divided Indian team at the behest of most politicised body called BCCI. Cricket is not the main issue, it has attracted so many power players with petty politics in order to enjoy the money in the hands of BCCI.
We do have talented players but as team we play awful. We may have best individual world records but our team performance has been very pedestrian. Our players value personal gain more than the teams performance % prsetige.
The reason is simple....

BCCI reward policy is to encourage personal performance over teams performance.Hence ,why players would value the team performance where commitment & sacrifice is necessary. Whereas Australian board discourages individual performance and encourages team performance. Anybody ,howsoever good his own performance at the cost of the team, would be thrown out .In India ,there are lobbies . No objective assessments. India is no doubt years behind as compared to Australian cricket.

Hahaha good one. I hope the next 10 coaches reject this job and this board.

Now Ford should really rub it into the BCCI. He should apply to be coach of B'desh and accept the offer when he's accepted. That'll put these big-mouthed BCCI honchos in their rightful place.
