Munaf Patel

It has been a regular feature of the fast bowler of Indian team that the unfit players are sent to tour and come back in the half way. The BCCI must take stern action against the unfit players who concealed their injuries. No matter--if he is the essencial player for the team. Now the time has come to review the fitness problem of the players.Hope better performances from Munaf and Pathan in the forth coming tour. May God bless them all the Indian players.

Munaf 's frequent injureis
by India on Jun 09, 2007 02:46 AM  | Hide replies

Munaf will once again get injured during practice. Dravid will once again keep him in the team hoping he will get better. This is what this fooish captain of India has done with injured bowlers like Pathan and Munaf during West Indies and Suth Africa tours. Instead of demanding physical fitness and form from players, Dravid has unnecessarily protected them for reasons known only to Dravid.

THEY ARE ALL FIT TILL THEY TRAVEL ABRODA. ONCE REACHED THAT COUNTRY, THEY SUDDENLY GET INJURED.THIS IS QUITE COMMON IN RECENT TIMES.THEY TEAM MANAGEMENT CALL FOR REPLACEMENT.THIS IS NOT NEW. ACTUALLY BCCI SHOULD MAKE THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE WHO DECLARE THEM FIT, IF FOUND UNFIT LATER STAGE.

Munaf patel's fitness
by Soumyadipta Basu on Jun 09, 2007 01:22 AM

I think the fitness of Indian fast bowler's has become a joke these days. Every tour sees 4-5 bowlers being selected only for 2 to return home midway and this has been the case since the last 2-3 years. Bowlers like Balaji, Ashish Nehra, Avishkar Salvi have dwindled in to wilderness beacuse of fitness problems and I think the time has come for BCCI to take a tough stance on this situation.

Yeah in your dreams perhaps. This fellow who was touted to bowl at over 145km is bowling at around 130km or even less. After all the hype Munaf has been reduced to an injured average medium pacer. Also he is a bad fielder and cannot be expected to score any runs whatsoever.

Hahaha, for how long.... everytime he gets thru fitness test and breaks down immediately when the tour begins...he is not a fit guy at all, he needs to work on his fitness a lot and he has to have a good physique which a fast bowler needs...
