We dont need any apologies now
by samson lawrence on Aug 02, 2007 02:12 PM

We need victories and against all odds. The team is doing fine. Sreeshanth may have been wayward, but he didnt give runs this time so he did his part well. The problem really is there arent any bowlers we cant confidently say can make Sreeshanth go home. all our bowlers arent international top class. We need better talent than we have now. Till we get them, against teams like a depleted England we have enough. That should do.

Jelly bean as good-length Marker
by Pulok kumar Mukherjee on Aug 01, 2007 09:10 PM

In my opinion, they were using the %u201Cjelly beans%u201D not to disturb Zaheer%u2019s concentration (we all know his batting ccapabilities) or even taunting purpose. But it was being used as marker (good-length spot) on the pitch to control line and length of bowling. By and large, bowlers are not allowed to use any marker to control the line and length of bowling. This is unfair and malpractice in part of host !!!

Moreover, why the ICC match referee is avoiding a scrutiny of the camera footage to pin point who spilled the beans? Are the authorities avoiding the embracement of the host team members? Once again it is discriminatory in nature. Had this been involved Indian, they would have carried out complete investigation to tarnish the moral of team India.

The whole English Team should be fined and charged with Pitch Tampering.
Captain and Slip cordon feilders should be made to tender Public Appolgy to Indian Team.
They should know that by now, we have Big Indian Diaspora over there and any Racial Comment will be Blown into same Controversy as Shilpa's
