why do you think its board of control of cricket in india is named such because its job is to control cricket, cricketers and cricket lovers. they r just doing their job trying to ensure that every thing about cricket is securely under their control. way to go BCCI. just wait for the day when the people know about your real intentions and ensure that ou out of comission. dont you dare decide how cricket should be run in india.
Kudos to Subhash Chandra & ICL for taking on the corrupt & mismanaged BCCI. Its for the betterment of Indian Cricket. Theres so much of budding talent in Cricket which needs to be tapped by some proffesionally run corporate governance organisation. Polotiaccaly controlled & politics ridden BCCI is ruuning rather ruining Indian cricket with no transparency whatsoever. Kudos to Kapil Dev for taking on BBCI & doing something close to his heart for the betterment of Indian Cricket.
I thought the main purpose of ICL is bring out the talent in India and help BCCI, but if some who plays for ICL is not considered for national selection, whats the use of such league.
its a professional game!i m a pakistani but PCB's threat is preposturous! and on top of that Rashid latifs reply! totally non sense!this game is professional and not amateur that u seek someones approval!he made himself available for test side, they didnt even consider him for probable yet alone the contract!he has to earn money!hes got class!hif given right money he will play!and he shud wether its ICL or BCL!after all he has retired from one day cricket!
PCB should live Inzy alone. They did not even give him a contract.
It is too early to conclude if ICL is a waste. Kerry Pakcer's league was considered a waste when it was announced. But, it ended up changing the came radically and all for the better. Critics should hold their words at least until one season is complete.
Inzamam is already a has-been as far as the PCB is concerned, so their empty threats are just that. The ICL is the best thing to happen to cricket -we still get to see these great players in action, who are passed over by their respective selectors, even though they are still in thier prime and has many years of good cricket left. More power to ICL - bring it on!
It is a sheer money-wasting Excercise by ICL. Why dont they spend this money on searching, groomming and nourshing talents across India in Different games. Why are they not releasing even a single penny to produce likes of Leander Paes,Mahesh Bhupati, Sania Mirja to name a few. Their 20-20 Series is not going to do any good to Indian cricket but to greedy former players. It is very shameful to know many of the former players and players on the verge of retirement are knocking the doors of ICL.Greed of money is goading them and not the love for the game....

All the points raised by you are being taken care of. To start of they have roped in Brian Lara for the twenty twenty tournament. Promising youngsters will play alongside the greats of the game like Brian Lara and proper grooming of youngsters will be there. ICL has a pakka plan for Indian & International Cricket. Wait and watch. The Jokers like Sharad Pawar, Bindra,Dalmiya, Niranjan Shah, Ratnakar Shetty & other BCCI Jokers all will bite the dust. They'll be thrown out.

BCCI is doing everything to stop ICL. ICL is good for the indian scene. the whole cricket scene stinks cos all the powers that be have adjusted to themselves, they dont someone else making money out of "THEIR" game. these selfish guys ought to be shown their place. they dont own the game. Zee should be brave to carry forward and make a great toruney. kudos to subash chandra.
