Jaffer should be droped
by Girish on Jul 26, 2007 03:49 AM

The Team for the second test should have one replacement which is Jaffer. I think Laxman should open with Karthik as he is technically strong and Yuvraj should bat where Laxman normally bats. The bowling attack should be the same but Sreesanth should not be given the new ball. He is a better blower to the right handed batsmen and if RP or Khan are able to take one or two wickets before Sreesanth is brought in then he will be effective.

Guys haroon will talk crap because Sachin got rid of Moin from cricket, that last ball destroyed his life. Ganguly the first Indian captain to win in pakistan. Dravid was instrumental in getting it. So I guess haroon shd be let loose on this. Don't worry haroon, you will get your chance this year and then it will be time to derail Asif, club Afridi, choke yusuf.....no need for shoaib as he was already derailed in SA.

Ganguly, Sachin, Dravid.... they all should be given a go-away chit. The way they are going about their business now is like they have won the world. They all let us down when it really mattered. Give the young guys a chance, Groom them. the next world cup is far away, so let prepare for it. But the fear is that , now they will join ICL and infect that organization also.

not only that...all the money they made by fooling people should be taken away from them and handed back to the poor. I cant understand some of the stupid marathis here. If sachin is such a great guy and he made so much money why doesnt he give away some to the poor and downtrodden even in maharashtra? Has he done anything like that?

Yes, he supports a charity for orphans and poor school children. People don't know about that.
They only give credit to Steve Waugh because he has publicised his charity work better than Sachin.
And who do you think you are? Robin Hood?

i will see what charity work tendulkar does after retirement. Whatever work he does (visiting orphanages etc which the whole team does) is all stage managed (either by sponsors or the diplomatic organizations). I am not comparing with Steve waugh here; lets talk abt tendulkar only and think how much off-time he has and what he does during that time. Compare it with the time he spends on public functions, ads etc

I think all the batsman are of same calibre. Noone has shown much of the talent in last one year, except in Bangladesh. I think it doesnt matter weather Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly is there or rather Yuvraj is there. They all will eventually have same mediocre batting average.

Tell me if you have a skill of good drafting knowledge, would you train younger ones at your free time - instead of trying to earn something for your own. And if you are looking out for your earnings, what should you be called? And Baaastards is a very big n filthy word. For god's sake dont use such word to the ones you have worshipped a 2-3 yrs back.

Yuvraj likely to replace Ganguly
by Sanjeev Verma on Jul 25, 2007 11:47 PM  | Hide replies

Ganguly is likely to miss due to stiff back. I think that this gives a golden opportunity to Yuvraj to get back to Team India.

Big Patnerships???
by on Jul 25, 2007 10:36 PM

Don't these losers already have patnerships with their sponsors and advertisers?

This team should give their post-match acting stints a break.

If they keep overdoing it, the fans will wake up (finally) and realize that they are only acting!!

Yuvraj must play second test
by ashwin kumar on Jul 25, 2007 10:30 PM  | Hide replies

I do not understand why they dropped Yuvraj in first test. He is the best player in the team and playing good cricket. He should be in playing in the 2nd test. I think he is playing better than Tendulkar,Ganguly or Laxman at this moment. It would demoralise anyone who does not get chace when they are playing better than most of the players in the team. Its Rediculous!!!!

Let us take a look at the performances of India's BIG THREE for the last 12 months. They all played in the SAME 6 Tests.

Dravid: avg of 29.8
Sachin: avg of 50.6
Ganguly: avg of 41.6

Do you want last one year stats or do you want past glories. Make up your mind and tell me what really you want. Do you want to mention dravid as better compared to sachin and ganguly? what point are u trying to make. Understand that dravid and sachin have almost the same average. (1.5 average difference is not a big deal)

Since the wise men on this board keep telling me of Dravid MANY recent successes, and Sachin's MANY recent failures, I checked cricinfo for the last ONE YEAR. The big three ALL played in India's 6 tests in the last year.

Facts have a curious way of bursting delusions.

Compare the opportunities with Sehwag, Bhajji, Pathan to that of Laxman. He gets an opportunity for one off test and sidelined in the second.. if he is continuously playing in 2-3 series, u will see him in flow... and can never be dropped

Yuvraj has given very few chances in the test matches.Just think who is winning the matches for India in recent times. When Yuvraj played more than 50runs,India have 12 out of 15 matches.Give a chance to the player who is doing best at this moment not just looking what they have done 3/5 years back.
Mr. Nandu sir(hero worshiper),just think where were Mr.Sachin, Lakshman, Ganguly when India needed 380 to chase..They could'nt even save thier wicket.
Think before you ask somebody to think.
Dumb heads!!!!!!!!
