Subbu, Learning is a life long endeavour. Do not knock the beneficial aspects of learning. If this lot learns, maybe they can pass on their education to their kids,other learners and, eventually, after another 25 years or so, the weight of learning will push our team past the winning post. I think our team should also learn Swahili and Afrikaans as, the South Africans, whose language these are, seem to be doing somethings well. Once you learn the language, it is easy to learn their Cricket too. Although, from the weight of evidence, knowledge of English does not seem to have counted for much as yet. Cheers.
Yesterday Dravid was cribbing about bowling stating that it is quite in-experienced. Today he has given up with respect to batting -- Experience does not count. Man you are the captain and you yourself is lost. How will you manage the Team leave prospect of winning? Captains needs to show confidence in the available resourses.
What else is there in Indian Batting line --only experience. Even Yuvraj is has gained experience warming bench for so long, even he is experienced. Is Dravid Raiseing his hands that experience is too heavy to handle.

I want to tell our cricket captain that experience counts when you take responsibility to make Indian team through. Playing hundred test is not a guarantee that the player will play well. For example Virender Sehwag he was experienced,getting good start and play casually to throw his wicket then why John Wright should not have slapped him? Because you are experienced, senoir player in the team so you should understand your responsibility and play for your team.I think BCCI should come with a proposal of giving target to players according to their experience and seniority as a batsman, as a bowler and as a captain. Sachin,Dravid, Ganguly,Laxman and Kumble should have been given target of 300 runs(batsman)and 20 wickets(Kumble) for whole test series.Openers Jaffar and Karthik should be given target of out of six possible innings , four fifty and 2 hundred run partnerships.After series ends,do the post-mortem of performances and players failing on their targets (percent)that much of their series contract money will be reduced. He is picking Dhoni as a batsman/wicketkeeper instead of Yuvraj. Dravid says Dhoni has done nothing wrong apart from not performing outside the subcontinent. Well what has Yuvraj done wrong? If we are playing Karthik as opener who wont get more then 50 whycant he keep wickets. India have a option Karthik Opener/Wicketkeeper then We have to make a choice. Yuvraj or Dhoni..Clearly Yuvraj wins that battle.
Or Play Dravid as a opener & play both yuvraj and Dhoni The point here is Dravid is politically motivated. He wants to highlight its not Yuvraj vs Dhoni but its Ganguly vs Yuvraj.
By making it Yuvraj vs Ganguly he can get rid of Ganguly or keep Yuvraj waiting as he is the main threat tohis captaincy. Remember Yuvraj lost his vice captaincy to Dhoni and our great leader did not stand up for Yuvraj.

India never had a settled bowling attack...remember when bhajji bowled against australia in 2001.he was very inexperienced as well.
But i guess here the point is inexperience bowling attack will highlight how unimaginative and bad Dravid's captaincy is.
Well ganguly got result with similar inexperienced bowlers. In 2001 ...Bhajji against australia In Australi...we had Irfan pathan making debut In Pakistan we had balaji as a new comer.
So Dravid stop making EXCUSES CAPTAINING INDIA ON FIELD IS ALOT HARDER THEN PLAYING BOARDROOM POLITICS WITH BCCI(example our great captain did not support yuvraj when BCCI strip him of vice captaincy.we have to agree Dravid was consulted)
I ask you all...Did Ricky Ponting say we will miss Brett Lee during the world cup? NO he said Shaun tait is a exciting prospect a real fast bowler.
thats how a captain backs his bowlers....shaun tait proved expensive at ocassions and with overstepping but he got crucial breakthroughs.
I feel sorry for India as we have to carry on Dravid as captain due to politics and see india suffer.

What do you say about Waugh? He had a serious weakness when facing short pitch bowling... But when it came to captaincy it was a different ball game all together
