A very stylish player when he gets going. Thats the problem. By the time he gets going he is gone as the selectors dump him. One odd failure also finds him out. Apparently selectors have different yardsticks for different players. at 32 he has to fight for his place.
After the 2003 world cup, Laxman helped India to perform well in ODIs in Australia and Pakistan and had the best ODI average in that year of all Indian batsman. Yet he was removed from the ODI team and is not considered an ODI player. Remember he helped India win the ODI series in Pakistan.

Yeah, it is correct.He hit one ton in the crucial 5th ODI against Pakistan.He hit 3 centuries in AUS against AUS,ZIm.But selectors forget it.Throw the selectors away........from the panel
I am sure that VVS Laxman should have given more chances in both form of cricket. This is also true that he is lazy fielder but he is a world class batsman. He is better batsman than Saurav Ganguly in Test Cricket but still he has been ignored and he is not bad if compare with Saurav. I am not here against Saurav but I want to point that Laxman is also deserve his place in Indian Team. I know if he will be incouraged by BCCI then his average in both forms of game would have been better than current.
BCCI has really been bad on you. I wish you the very best... in ur career.. and hope you get a permanent slot in the team and make good scores and always make India win.

Laxman, pls make use of the limited set of opportunities. For sachin, 20 failures allowed, For Sehwag, Ganguly 50 Failures allowed, For u, the BCCI will allow only 5 failures consecuitively. thats your fate..
