hey guys, why r u ppl targeting sachin?? stop comparing him with sangakara. sachin is far far better than sangakara and yeah as far as 222 runsagainst bangladesh is concerned...anybody can score against bangladesh...so no big deal..but yes great effort by him. congrats

When Jason Gillespi can score double ton against Bangladesh why not Sangakkara. Srilankans are playing to their potential without being complacent. This is very unlikely of Indian context. Like what is going in tour matches in England. Indian brunt bowling attack is not able to whip of the tail unders

even sachin had enough oppurtunity of playing against minnows, but just have managed to score double ton just twice in his career.... bottom line being no one denying sachin is a world class batsman but he has his own set of weekness (not able to score big runs, failure in big matches). sachin fan's needs to understand the criticism placed on cirumstances and take it with pinch of salt
as a matter of fact Kumar Sangakkara is not the 4th person to achieve this feat. this whole article is incorrect and makes one doubt anything rediff reports. please check your stats carefully and you will find that South African captain, Graeme Smith and Australian captain, Ricky Ponting have also scored 2 consecutive double hundreds before, thereby making Kumar Sangakkara the 6th batsman in history to do so.
Thank God that Sachin did not score these runs. Had he scored, people would have criticised him saying that he scores like this only against weaker team like Bangladesh. Because it is not Sachin, people do not complain!

Doesn't matter when sachin score trible century against bangladesh if he beten aus. in the previous match with half century. unless the qustion ppl. asking is right.

dude sachin would have done it if that loser of a captain dravid had not stopped him in pakistan.he had scored a double in australia and was on 194 not out in pakistan.

Dravid declared to win the test match against Pak. People don't see that point. We are still looking for personal milestones. Indian batsmen (all including Sachin) should hit 200 and put formidable scores. thats what is required then these records will automatically happen see Srilanka as an example.
the above tabl says tat hammond and bradman scord double centuries in consecuive innings but it was not so... they scored inc onsecutive tests but not in consecutive innings... vinod kambli was the first to score doubles in consecutive innings.... is scoring doubles in consecutive tests are concerned... names of ponting and G.Smith are missing

Sushil, this table is correct, check cricinfo if u have any doubts. in those tests either there was only one inning, or the batsman didn't bat in the second inning, so technically it was successive innings for the batsmen.
