Indian comeback.
by Mahesh More on Jul 08, 2007 08:46 PM  | Hide replies

Its good to see Indian team has bounced back after putting on a disapointing show at the WC.But looking to currently well teamed Indian team I have no doubt that India is going to be rocking on Eng tour. But sometimes I wonder the team doing quite well nowadys what happened to them during WC? Why Ind & Pak are so inconsistent inspite of having the best talent in cricketing world?

I think that it was a combination of bad luck and poor team selection. Kiran More should have remained as the main selector. There was no need to bring Gannguly at the last moment. Also, we should have included Raina and Kaif. You can not disturb a set team just before the world cup.

do u even know wat the point of these tour matches is? its not to play at 4.5 an over and get ureself out. we dont have many tour matches, so batsmen hav 2 bat themselves into form and acclimatise to conditions. you dont need to go out 5 an over.

so aussies play at 4 an over constantly, doesnt mean that other teams who dont do that dont win test matches. at the end of the day, its a 5 day test match

RIGHT TIME TO THROW OUT LAXMAN...

Laxman has not been given fair chance. He has good records in countries like Australia, West Indies, England. Still he is not being given a good chance. Sehwag got so many chances than Laxman & didnt utilise it whereas Laxman has made use of the opportunities he got.

Let some good leadership initiave take us to the next level. Doesn't matter if it is a slow process. We need good leadership like what DADA provided.

What is wrong with Dravid's leadership? We have just defeated SA in Future Cup under Dravid. I think that it was the first time that Team India ever defeated SA in an overseas series.

Please get right the names of players you mention. It's Ranadeb Bose, and not Ranadeep Bose. This shows how keenly you guys follow Indian domestic cricket!

helo dude, Laxman has nothing to prove now, he already proved a lot of times that he is one of the finest player India have ever had, for playing outside the subcontinent, he came with success in his bating when team needed the most, but he is not being treated as the way he should have been.

Laxman has always shown consistant performance but our selectors are not CONSISTANT to give him proper chances,

Every time only Laxman was axed though his performance was much-2 better than no of players who retained in the team by XYZ reasons

why did they give rest to Ganguly & Khan?
by vukka nagarjuna on Jul 08, 2007 07:28 AM  | Hide replies

It is bad management from us, to rest ganguly & khan. They should have some batting & bowling pratice.Becoz ganguly is the No.1 key player in our batting line up. And Khan too in bowling. so, they should not give complete rest, atleast they have given few overs to bat & bowl.

lol.. Ganguly and key player??? look man.. just get over ur damned hero of bengal. agreed he was good once upon a time. these days i feel sick when i see him bat. absolutely no foot work. he doesnt move that right foot of his forward at all. its like hes rooted to that damned crease for life. once in a while he breaks the shambles by stepping out and purely because of his "by grace" god given timing. with every ball he faces my mind only thinks when hes gonna nick one behind stumps. hes only good for one matches played in the subcontinent. where bounce and swing comes into picture i guess he would struggle. he might come one or two knocks. but thats a rare commodity to expect these days. just think ahead dude. soon hes gonna retire. let me see what u ganguly fans talk off then? thats probably the only reason we are Indians coz we are not professional about our work. we will never be professional. its a distant dream. coz what matter to us Indians is only sex and money. you get this your life is made.

dude, check out the stats of ganguly against england in england. he has an outstanding record against them in their own backyard. About his footwork he has never been a player with splendid footwork right throughout his career but for his timing and elegance and shifting of gears at his will is what makes him a dangerous player. That's why he was a huge success in one-day arena. Still in test he averages in forties which is not at all bad by any means.

How Ranadeb becomes jokers? Try to follow the Ranji Trophy you will have better idea about Indian cricket and the potential of different cricketers. He is the highest wicket taker in ranji and deserves his chance in the National Team. Don't comment idiotically!!!!!

Sehwag was given enough chances and bhajji has not been performing since long - so why do they deserve any more cances - Well i am a supporter of Sehwag though -- he is proved player and has the potential to hit big players - he needs advice and nothing else - Talking about Ranadeb Bose - a yong player who has not even played in a single international match and you r claiming him to be a joker - i think u r out of your mind and talking about Ajit Agarkar look at his experience in the one day matches. It was his his experience that took took wickets in the match against South Africa - He know how to bowl in every conditions - He is one of the most successfull (Indian) bowler in Australia - and proved it in every Australian tour - is it not necessary to give him enough match practice before an Australian tour. Believe me he was the fastest to get 50 wickets and if he would have been properly groomed like Irfan pathan and other, he would have been a very good bowler
still he has got almost 270 wickets under his belly and can easily reach a landmark of 300 wickets - if there are not much people like you.

Ranadeb Bose is yet to play his first test match. How do you know that he will be a failure? Without even seeing him in action you are calling him a failure and a joker. I think you are the joker to make such a comment.Shewag was given enough chances and he failed.

Randeb is a true hero. A bowler who has not bowled a single no ball in First Class Cricket. And he takes wickets at regular intervals. Conditions in England should suit his style of bowling. But with Sharad Pawar at the helm, who can replce Western Bowl(d)ers??
