Walsh, how about uplifting the standards of West- Indies cricket first? Over the years, West Indies cricket's standard is going down, the talent is not coming through the ranks, the fast bowlers have vanished and the batsmen are nothing to talk-about.

I think, just because 100 Million is at stakes, so you are going to help the Cubans. Charity starts at home Walsh. Go and resurrect the dismayed standards of West Indies Cricket, even before you think of Cricket in Cuba and the so called 'natural' cricketers.

Shut up Sameer,... He is out there doing some good job. You should also need to appreciate some time ok. Just criticising and throwing dirt on others would really sink you further down.
Not everything is donw for money

1) But the question remains. What is Walsh doing to help West Indies cricket? Nothing. Since the time he has retired, he did not help west indies cricket in 'any' way. He has not been on any coaching assignments, foreign trips, advisory panel or for that matter on selection board.
2) It is always about money my dear boy. always. If you happen to remember Patrick Patterson, another fast bowler here's a story that will shock you. Today, Patterson's friends refer to him as as someone "who's mentally unstable after losing all his money". Read here: http://tinyurl.com/3d8cqc. It is no big secret that Walsh does not want to go the Patterson way. So lets go to Cuba and earn some money.
3) In a time when every little help can pave the way for bigger things in West Indies cricket, why is Walsh keeping himself away? The reason: Lack of money in West Indies cricket. The young are more interested in American games like American Football, NBA and so on, why? more money. It is all about MONEY.

No self respecting man could have dumped his country, when they need him the most and that too at this time, and go for another country like Cuba to help their players. For what? Money, of course.

We are living in Kalyug. Money is everything. Jayagopal wake up, smell the coffee.

Any last words?

It is nice to see that Cricket is showing signs of life in countries like Cuba, but the ICC needs to take more steps and work hard so that the game gets globalised by providing and improving the facilities available to these countries and also to the existing ones line Holland, Kenya, Canada etc.
