I have managed to watch Astle play few times and he was always exciting to watch. The last time I seen him play was against the west-indies last year, when he hit 3 sixes of gayle and take that awesome catch. But it was time for him to retire, he was out of touch. He didn't get kicked out.

I am bit agree with ur point. SOme players are there in India team like that. But, please note down that motivation also make some matter.
Astle of course your fans misses you, at the end our indian players must be happy for more great players retirements before world cup. Because chances for indian team winning world cup increases. even thgough old bully's still stays based on average criteria in our team....Prasad.iyer
Its a shocking news. He is one of the most dynamic players in the world today and one of my favourites. New zealand cricket will be severely hampered by his absence. I have always enjoyed when he was at the crease.Hats of to you nathan for all the entertainment that u have provided over the years. Now NZ has lost two key players n cairns and astle, Which will severely dent their world cup chances. A glorius end to a stunning and wonderful player
wel I am Shock with the way Astle is leaving cricket scene suddenly!. he is my one of the most liked player. I have always enjoyed watching Astle's batting.one of most memoreble innings of his was 153-ball doube tone against england. i will severely missing yu
