Pick up your career
by ASG on Feb 09, 2007 10:35 PM

Why do all people are pushed into the game big boys play?
So may vocations and professions like modelling, salesmanship, law, teaching etc exist.

Give Raina a year or two. Preserve him and allow him to consolidate. He has all the qualities of becoming a solid odi player like Ajay Jadeja, Michel Hussey and Jhonty Rhodes.
As of now he does not deserve a place in WC squad for 2007. But he will be there definitely at WC 2011 doing wonders.
My best wishes are with you Raina.

Who so ever, who has lost the form, should be out of playing 15, what so ever his previous records. Onlly present form and present statistics. Simple principle, if great players lost the form, let him play domestic cricket, get his form back. Dont allow any players IRRESPECTIVE OF HIS PAST RECORDS,keep him out. Dont show any mercy, if like to show mercy, if give some monetry incentive, dont allow STATISTICS INDIAN CRICKET TEAM TO SPOIL. Im surprise for the appointment of out of form player as VICE CAPTIAN. PLZ DONT PALY POLITCS.

NGS you are a sicko, what do you know about cricket. You are not fit enough to discuss about Raina at all.Atleast the boy has made it to the team on his own effort not by under hand deals. We must give him a chance.Everyone cannot be a sachin.

Raina has been given enough chances
by santosh bhat on Jan 26, 2007 08:59 PM

I feel that Raina has been given enough chances to perform and I do not feel that he has either the requisite technique nor the temperament to perform at the highest level.

There are so many new faces in our side, only performance keeps Raina up. Now that time has gone when player has so many opportunanity, since a lot of talent is waiting due to veteran players. See how Karthik emerge himself and proved twice. Technique and Consistency is the Key for future.

IS a very capable batsman and an excellent fielder
No doubt he had terrible last 3 tournaments. But prior to that he had 3 excellent and matured showing. Need to work on him by giving him some
confidence. He is no doubt the most talented youngster in the side, but is something is working on his mind which is blocking him to play freely as he used to do earlier. Someone needs to have a chat with him personally, techincally everything is ok. If no one can talk to him, then leave him and time would help him out. But I would keep him in my WC 07 squad, and I belive I can make him to get out of this.
