In cricket, the 'laws' made by the Whites rule the roost. If Australians swear at the Asians, it is hailed as part of the game and if Asian players do some thing, it is against the gamesmanship. In South Africa, there were a number of coloured people too, Gibbs is now taken to task. Otherwise, he too would have gone scot free. S. Padmanabhan espsai@yahoo.com
and a means of livelihood for some. These commercial exploiters use words like honour, nationalism, religion, race and whatever to arouse passions and further their own interests. There is no excuse to be a rowdy because someone isnot like you or yur supposed adversary is winning. Civilised people should behave in a civilised manner whoever they are and whatever the circumstances. There is no excuse however for a sportstar to be abusive, not only racist remarks, sledging, swearing, provocating, foul play and acting as in soccer should be banned. When there are so many aspirants around why not ban bad behaviour for life. Why just one or two matches. We are here to see good sports not the any means will do, shameless, unethical, despicable actions of anyone, sports stars, authorities or spectators. Ther should be some shame, if we call ourselves human beings.
It is no secret that South Asian cricket fans are the most rowdy. After all this region has very little accomplishments in any field, leave alone cricket.

You have no idea Srinivasan, on how some of the fans here in Australia behave, especially after they have had few drinks (beer)!! I am sure you have made comments without having any knowledge about fans from other countries. I honestly feel you should keep your silly opinion to yourself rather than expressing such them on a public discussion and sounding like an idiot!!
