Vow! Congratulations to the Cricket Superpower Australia! To achieve the Ashes white-wash over England after 86 years is really commendable! What other motivation now you would look for, Ponting? What other glorifying landmarks would you and your team look for?

Also, hearty congrats to Warne, McGrath, and Langer for their wonderful contribution. In a way we will be sad to go, but that is a crowning glory you all will carry over your head for ever, for your fabulous achievements over the years. Cricket lovers will remember your deeds for ever. Australia really stands out far ahead of others!

M. Shankar.

Kudos to this australian side who made it look so easy by a onesided show in this ashes series wash which happened after 86 years. What was interesting though was the way they went on their business. With 4 of the test players calling it a day this was an emotional series for them n thay badly wanted to display their thrust for a series win which at last became a onesided show. The english team neither did correct things nor the things correctly. They played well in patches n in some sessions but dear to put presure on aussies u have to be better on all the 5 days.Surely the ausie test team will miss services of warne, mcgrath, langer n martyn. In addition probably warne n mcgrath r irreplacable too. They had almost 1300 test wickets between them n that partnership would take some time for a beating.England made a blunder by not playing monty from the first test itself n also bowled below par n even gave the aussie batsmen many occassions to come back from nowhere in the match. In all an excellent series which gave tremendous entertainment to cricket lovers. It would be interesting to c how aussies go abt in future test matches without their stars players. For England - Better Luck Next Time.

England Whitewashed

sir:
The myth about a so called resurgent England under Andrew Flintooff has finally been shattered.

The Ashes victory in England some eighteen months ago was a Great Fluke. The English got carried away by that chance victory and wanted to bask in the glory of the fluke.

It was always (IN THE POST IAN BOTHAM ERA) a third rate team and I for one, do not see any light at the end of the tunnel for the English Cricket team for a long time to come.

The first thing to do is to relieve Andrew Flintoff from the burden of captaincy.

The second is to sack a flunky like Duncan Fletcher from the position of the coach right away.

Finally, appoint Ian Botham, the greatest English Cricketer ever, as the coach of the English team. If he can't turn it around, nobody can.

!!!!!ALL THE BEST TO THE ENGLISH TEAM!!!!!
