New venues old stories......................
by Farhan Khan on Jan 03, 2007 12:22 AM

I have been a great cricket lover and an ardent fan and close follower of the game & Indian Cricket in particular over the past one and a half decade.Sadly its the same old story each time with an new venue. i mean, the team severely lacks consistency, killer instinct and more importantly they CHOKE underpressure more often than not. All the above factors dubiously come into indian's way when ever a crunch situtation comes in a match or when the series stands on the razor's edge.I just wish Indian Team the best of luck and hope that they get better of the qualities that have been leading to their down fall, hold the nerves well and come out winning with flying colours in the Third Test.

Bounce back????

Under Dravid's captaincy I dont think Indian Cricket team
can do good.Indian Cricket team now need a strong
captain.
Perhaps BCCI already decided that captainship shd not
be given to Ganguly,-fine and no problem. But u shd try to search out a person who can assure fight and
aggression, win or defeat is not that important ,but
fight shd be there.
Those who are blemming Shehwag,Tendulkar or anyone else, are doing wrong first we need a right captain then a possitive coach then clear minded selection committee and environment free fr politicians then
we will defenitely do good but it is possible??????
ONLY GOD KNOWS...........

Sachin
Time for Sachin to RESIGN.
by Sachin on Jan 02, 2007 12:12 PM

Is Sachin really needed ????? His experience is of no use to the team.He is the most SELFISH player ever & a white elephant in the team.He should learn somthing from MAc Grath,Langer & Demian Martyn who valued their self respect first.Sachin is simply an OVERRATED Batsman.NEVER NEVER & NEVER plays under pressure.

MSR
SA gift was the first win
by MSR on Jan 02, 2007 12:04 PM

It is due to the capitulation of the SA batting in the first innings that India could manage to win. The Indian batting did not do any justice on that match as well. The batting has been a big let down in this tour and even after close to three months, if they cannot adjust to the conditions, it is time to take more harsh measures.

usless team!!!!!!!!
by na on Jan 02, 2007 11:36 AM

hey dravid, dont give the same comment every time u loose. if u(dravid, sachin, shewag, jaffer)r not capable of proving urself just get lost from the team. atleast gv chance those who are capable.

i think if not anything patan could atleast get minimun 10 to 20 runs which was atleast useful, but shewag alway 0 or 1 run, it would be better to kick shewag out instead of patan

Bouncing around : Dravid
by sharad on Jan 02, 2007 11:30 AM

There are many things that ail our all-indian fav. game of cricket, especially:

a. our current team is still of 'boys'( as our great WALL likes to address them, literally) they have never grown into Men of steel.

b. the game is 'governed' by Regional politics and hence like all areas affected will be in this cesspool of politics.

c. it has now become more of a business with commercial interests overshadowing the competitive spirit.

Long live our national obsession of Cricket
