KAIF may be the best fielder in the game today. Too bad he was cut from the World Cup team.
Quite a few players in the present team needs to learn those skills from him.
He has been dropped from the team so many times in the last 5 years, and sincerely hope he will be back!

Kaif is unfortunately just an average batsman. You can not take a specialist fielder in team! Kaif can bat a bit, but he can not accelerate when needed. he doesnt have that ability to hit boundaries in middle overs, unlike yuvraj. A hardworking cricketer, who doesnt have much talent. kaif should actually be happy that he played so many matches for india, even though his contributions were below average. take alook at his career strike rate and avg. a no6 batsman definitely need to do better.

not fully agreed. Kaif is not that bad a player as it is projected. He won Natwest for India, made a century in Srilanka when the team was half out for few runs and India won subsequently. Not to forget catches in Pakistan and innings with Rahul in last ODI, and not to forget run-outs in last world-cups and stable batting at one down. On top of everything he was the top player in the last ODI series in carribean. He is a wonderful player and he should have been in the team. Unless some other player proves his position as No.6, he is the preferred choice....

Mr. Augustine, it seems you know little and speak more. You just do not want to take certain facts into consideration but just for the sake of criticism, you want to criticize Kaif. Ist thing, just consider how Kaif has been treated throughout his career. He has always batted at no. 7 and not at no. 6. Whenever he has been given opportunity to bat at the top order, he has proved himself. He is the only batsman who is dropped even after scoring runs. Remember he was dropped after making 91 in test which he saved for India and yet he was dropped in the next match. In the last tournament in Srilanka he was consistently sent at no. 3 and he was the best batsman from the Indian Side, yet in the very next series he was again dropped to down no. 7.
Mr. Augustine, Kaif is great hearted player and he has taken all these things in the right spirit. He has never allowed frustration to creep in. He has won many a matches for India and if he was treated the way other players with Big God father are treated he would have definitely been a great asset for India.
He lifts the spirit of the entire team by those extra ordinary stops, dives and catches. he is a great team man. It's really sad we would be missing him in the world cup.

always remember catches win matches. If he scores 20 runs and save 50 then total count of run becomes 70.Simple calulations .Hope u have enough mind to calulate this :)

Are u in your senses...The whole of australian or Southafrican team does not save 50 run in a signle match, and you are talking about one superhuman "KAIF" saving 50 alone??..We are not talking about cricket in your backyard with "homegrown" rules..

good fielding creates oppertunities for dismissals.you can't ignore the fact that players often throw their wickets when they got frustrated by quick fieldings.I was not talking only abt catches ,fielding also consists of good gound fielding.
