Your elegant century came like rain to a parched ground (or should I say, to a place which is more often on the losing side at the Ranji). It is good to see a fellow Goan performing well in cricket - a sport in which Goans have failed to really make an impression on the national scenario. Of course I know that Dilip Sardessai really excelled in it. But that was the past. And I have given up harping on past performances. That is what we Indians love to do. But can we blame ourselves - look at the hockey scene or for that matter cricket.
Anyway here's wishing Swapnil many more centuries. May God shower his choicest blessings on him, so that He will break into the Indian side with a bang!
All the best Swapnil. Keep the Goan flag flying high!

Not Suman Bhat. I am trying to find if anyone knows the whereabouts of Sumana:)
for all what he has had to endure ., must say rohan gavaskar has been ploughing a lonely furrow..alreday 31 now, gavaskar junior however has proved that he has ability and infact has been a victim bearing the "gavaskar" surname..neverthless it takes lot of motivation to soldier on..i have met him at surat...he is a nice humble human being who deserves much more..keep going "ronnie"!!!

Rohan Gavaskar was always a "talent" and has proved that he still is. Definitely requires a lot of guts to keep excelling as an "all rounder" even at this age. He should feel really proud of his name which conveys cricket's best - Rohan (Kanhai) & (Sunil) Gavaskar. Sunny also is a man of real guts to name his son so. All the best to him, as there are still a few cricketers of his age in the Indian team too!!

a very pertinent point , i fully agree with you.rohan has definitely inherited sunny's virtues and is a chip of the old block so to say....he has got pedigree and the there is a quiet dignity in the way he carries himself...true to the gavaskar legacy...i earnestly want to see him consistently get better and get one more shot to donn the national colours...all the best rohan!!!
In the last line of the article, The name of the East Zone Bowler in Ranadeb Bose and not Rahul Bose. Rahul Bose is a Film actor while Ranadeb is a cricket player.
