I am too confident about Irfan Pathan that he will bounce back as an allrounder and shut the critics. He will definitely help the Team India to bring hom the World Cup 2007. I wish him and Team India all success in World Cup 2007.

Irfan pathan is very young when he made his debut but he proved that he belong there. he is still very young. look how much he has achieved so far already. he looks tall and fit anyway. properly about 5'9
how tall is breet lee and shane bond. height does matter but irfan is not actually short like most indians.
Irfan, I wish you all the well for the World Cup, but you have to try and get your mind right - your girlfriend in South AFrica is obviously your problem - you really need to try and work things out.... perhaps get her to join u in the West Indies later on in the tour even?
No wonder Indian fast bowlers fade out after some hardwork..Irfan has the same frame (height and width) as Santhosh Kumar, which is astonishing! Take a picture beside Lillee, Ambrose, McGrath, Akram or even our own Kapil Dev and you will know what I am talking of..

I have met with Irfan at Chandigarh airport and I can say his body is strong enough to become a medium fast bowler, I am sorry that I can not check his bowlingspeed bcoz he did not bowl at airport but one thing is sure He is a real gentleman and very friendly to his fans as far as autographs and photographs is concerned, he did not disappoint a single fan!!!! I can pray for every success for him

Mr.Saxena, Indian fast bowlers or even ppl in general are smaller in physique than say an australian/englishmen or anglo saxons in general. So dont you think they have to work harder on their physique. I think they are not working harder on their physique and they need to build up more muscle to bowl faster and for a longer period.

Dear Mr Minto, It is not the speed(or pace) where our bowlers are inferior to Australians or South africans, But it is the BOUNCE which they never get from sub-continent pitches U can argu that Agarkar's speed is 140-145 KMPH but even though he is baddly beaten in Australia or south africa on fast track , this is because our bowlers are used to bowl on dead tracks where bowl hardly bounce over waist BUT when our bowlers go to abroad then they get 1-1.5 extra ft bounce they become confuse how to handle this bounce and try to bowl bit shorter length & beaten by batsmen. Do not blame bowlers, blame BCCI for not providing sporting wickets.

i dont think Irfan is roaming around with just any girl - 'roaming' sounds like a real cheap word. apparently from news reports, she is a very classy looking girl. Irfan is too young to get married in any case. Ganguly was married when he got involved with such things - Irfan is single - why cant he have his crickt and a girlfriend?
Irfan needs encouragement from all quarters rather than highlighting his weakness. He is the future of Indian cricket for years to come. He has the potential and eagerness to perform and I am sure he WILL surely pass through this bad patch as most successful cricketers have done in the past. ALL THE BEST TO HIM N INDIAN CRICKET.....
