Nice Bat ....
by Beamer Bees on Feb 24, 2007 08:37 PM

With his current form, he really needs that kinda wide bat. On second thoughts, he will still find some new ways of getting out :)

Players like Sehwag and Irfan are attractive cricketers.
One can travel miles to see him
play.
Pathan's batting shows how immaculate
he can be in that department also.
The selectors and Think Tank during the
past few months experimented too
much with him to almost destroy this
magnificient campaigner of the game.
All said and done, the team management
desparetely tried to block the entry of
Saurav and tried to make a Saurav out
of Pathan or Raina.
They thought any left hander can be
passed on as Saurav.

If Pathan was allowed to come as a later
order batsman he could have retained his bowling form as well.

Anyway I have full faith in Pathan.
Someday, may be in this world cup, he
will be a match winner.
He has it in him.

However I somehow feel, Dravid was also a part of the designs against Saurav, because captain
is singularly important in player selection
when he is in not so good form.
While he can throw his weight for
Sehwag, why did he not do it for Saurav?
This is one of the reasons why I do
not like Dravid.
Saurav with his flabuoyance gate
crashed in to the team. That is a separate story, but exactly what Dravid did for
Saurav in his bad days?
How did he reciprocate Saurav's afection to him in his hard days?
Of persistinng with him in spite of his slow and shaky cricket?
Public memory is not that short, I suppose.
However best of luck to Team India and in spite
of all these grievances.
Best wishes to Pathan.
And Dada remains the most attractive of the lot.
It is really a treat to the eyes how flexible Saurav has become in responding to the bowling attacks.
With nimble feet and quick reflex Saurav has answers to all types of bowlings.
His running between the wickets and fielding are a source of envy for any player at any level of cricket.
Saurav fans! Never bother about lies being spread against Saurav by a section of rediff readers.
Dada is not going to let you or India down.
If he fires the entire team India would be back in action, led by him.
Forget who is calling whom the Captain.
There is only one leader.
He is Dada Dada and Dada.
Whoever remains the captain all credit for good play of the team will go to Saurav,
and for all the bad play/decisions (if any),
Dravid and Chappel would be held responsible;
asthe situation and the mood of the country and media are like that.
Tit for Tat.
Dhormer Kol Batashe noray.
Justice is effortless,
just a blow of the wind can provide
energy to justice machiune.

Hello Mr Sengupta
I have been following your messages on rediff for quite a while now. No matter what the topic is ... you dont fail to talk abt Dada. I am not sure if you do this to get some attn or just crazy about this guy. I can understand your enthusiasm abt a particluar player and I can understand that you are one of his biggest fan. But, even the most craziest of fans has to be analytical. If you aint, then you fall into the category of fanatics who support the cricketer no matter how bad a form he is in ... that is dangerous, bcoz, you cant a persons comments seriously when he has lost his analytical reasoning and you, my friend, are close to achieving this status.

Well avtar, u shouldn't forget that this is a diplomatic country and evry person has the right to express his/her feelings. So if some people are upset with the team members, they have the liberty to express it - we can blame them for that
