Rahul
Crazy fan in a Billion
by Rahul on Mar 05, 2007 09:13 AM

Hey guys,
We donno whether Rahul is wasting his time in being passionate abt cricket - as our readers have commented-however, arent you guys wasting your time by criticizing & ridiculing abt someone who is very obsecced with cricket & his cricketing stars- Some food for thought.
I donno whether those pics are fake or not - but if you are so sure that its a fake pic & is so easy, y dont u guys send across those fake pics.

Really i couldnt understand why people are thinking those pics are fake ones.If you guys think that Rahul is doing all this just for publicity sake then he would have send a fake pic with Ashwarya Rai rather sachin's.

Rahul, keep up ur passion towards cricket.one more thing here Rahul is showing his passion towards cricket but not debating on good and bad about cricket.

THREE CHEERS TO RAHUL AND INDIAN CRICKET TEAM.

Dear Mr Prasad,
I am fully agree with u
I met no of players at chandigarh airport and I can strongly say the behaviour of our players was very-2 good for fans like us , Mr Vengsarkar, Dravid, Irfan, Kaif and what's more Mr Chappel pleased us by giving autographs and photographs which will be remembered throughout our life(IRFAN PARTICULARLY)
I wish India should win world cup and my special wishes to RAHUL and IRFAN just bcoz of their good behaviour

avijit kelkar
what a wanker
by avijit kelkar on Feb 27, 2007 06:01 PM

well if i knew some personality so well, and if i knew them as you claim "personally", then first of all i wouldnt pose for a pic, to be taken

and secondly I wouldnt send the pics all over the world for publicity.

I would rather have it as a momento (if you are only a fan), or just keep it in my album if you are a son-inlaw of them, or even their father in law.....actually you can be their father in law....you look old too

hehehe
i welcome all other rediff members to take the piss out of this guy!!!

Whats wrong with Rediff - Cricket is damn too overpraised
by Ananth S on Feb 26, 2007 03:25 AM  | Hide replies

The photos look "too fake" to me. Plus, one billion people have better things in life to do rather than building rapport with the team. Unless you are bookie, i think its an absolute waste to me to be with these overpriced, overpraised, underperforming, talentless, heartless people who dont have even an inch of patriotism and are still called heroes.

Want to remove poverty, stop paying cricketers. It should be an honor to represent India, its not a nine to five job.

All cricketers home should be raided by IT Dept and thier money distributed to poor.

BCCI's money is our money - the money of people of India. It should go to poor and underpriveleged, not for five star parties and pay checks to useless people.

Jai Hind.

"Well said "Ananth but please note some points. People in India are crazy about Cricket and FilmStars. These guys are treated like demigods and are paid huge ammounts, irrespective of whether they perform or not and there's always the cloud of politics hanging over the selection.

I was also obsessed with the game and lost many man hours watching India ODI's. Of course mega events like the Cricket World cup should be given its due respect as all the world teams play. Also, players of other sports should also be given lot of encouragement.
I accept the words " overpriced, overpraised, underperforming "but the rest of the sentence " talentless, heartless people who dont have even an inch of patriotism and are still called heroes" sounds too harsh to our bunch of cricketers, considering senior pros like "sachin tendulkar", "Sourav Ganguly","Rahul Dravid", "Anil Khumble"who are in the current squad world cup squad and probably their last are wizards and accomplished cricketers in their own right and have been great abassadors of their country and have done INDIA pround and my dear friend "they are definitely patriotic and commited" and best of luck to the Indian team .
