Media is overhyped the news of ganguly%u2019s return and and won MOS. Sachin won Mom and MOS against WI series, but there was hardly any noise. Even kumble and zahirkahn made come back after doing well in county media hardly mentioned about these 2 players.Even dhoni, yuvraj, dravid, robin batted well.
Ganguly always very aggressive, authorative and showed his dominance on field or infront of medi in his appproch as a captain, while dravid is cool, methodical and calculative ,defensive.. ganguly was accredited for team victory as a succesgfi; captian, while when team wom dravid%u2019s captaincy the victory was shared by all players. But after each defeat, dravid%u2019s captaincy was compared to ganguly%u2019s success, and many ppl / media criticised dravid and passed negative comments. other players were blamed. How much relevant is comparison of 16 months captaincy with 5 years ??? Even john and ganguly did not built the team in one year or not won all series. They also watched how the team reached WC final in 2003 and after that how the team was collapsed When dravid made captain team was ranked 8th I icc odi ranking and 2nd in Test, but now team is ranked 5th in odi and 4th in test ranking. I hope to see india doing extremely well in this world cup.Each every player should take the responsibility of finishing the game rather than looking for others to complete it.Especially Openers should do very well, in the past 3 tournaments none of our opening partnerships are good. Also the middle order should get stable and look to play entire overs rather than rushing out by playing poor shots.
Zahir khan and Anil kumble made a come back after performing well in county cricket without any media cheals, policians 's influence or not crying infront of media. Even laxman is out of team but he does not make any noise. Laxman and kaif should have included in WC team.munaf, sreeesant and bajji bowled well. dhoni did a good job behind wkts. and robin veeru, sachin dravid, ganguly dhoni scored runs. good bowling supported by good fielding. Team did wonderful job and played better cricket. Captain dravid managed resources very well. congratulations to skipper dravid and team india BEST OF LUCK TO WC

Well said abhai. But I am confident things gets improved soon. I think, rediff introduced these kind of message posting recently. And most of our guys are news to forum. So, for fun (?) they are adding all dirty comments. Overtime, most will get used online posting and dirty comments go off slowly.
Best example is when corporate banks and others started toll-free customer service over phone, some dirty people used to call the callcenter and talk dirty things with CSRs. But overtime, it got settled.
Sametime, as you said, rediff also has to take some strict editorial policy (frankly I don't know how it works currently) On report abuse rediff has to block the corresponding email ID etc., But practically, it is not possible even for rediff to check all the message before posting. Instead they can develop some software tools which checks for specific words and redirect to moderator etc.,

India will always remain a mediocre cricketing nation. Once in a while there will be ups but we are not going to be australians or the west indies. We are not going to be a dynasty. Our mindset is like that.
There will be periods where people will go gaga over players. As a nation we always value the wrong things. We are always looking at bowling and batting statistics instead of wins/losses, regional favoritism over performance etc.
Ganguly deserved to be dropped when he was dropped and now because of his performance is back in the team. Thats all there is to it. Add this to one more thing we all love to do, politicking and debating about nothing.
