Media is overhyped the news of ganguly%u2019s return and and won MOS. Sachin won Mom and MOS against WI series, but there was hardly any noise. Even kumble and zahirkahn made come back after doing well in county media hardly mentioned about these 2 players.Even dhoni, yuvraj, dravid, robin batted well.
Ganguly always very aggressive, authorative and showed his dominance on field or infront of medi in his appproch as a captain, while dravid is cool, methodical and calculative ,defensive.. ganguly was accredited for team victory as a succesgfi; captian, while when team wom dravid%u2019s captaincy the victory was shared by all players. But after each defeat, dravid%u2019s captaincy was compared to ganguly%u2019s success, and many ppl / media criticised dravid and passed negative comments. other players were blamed. How much relevant is comparison of 16 months captaincy with 5 years ??? Even john and ganguly did not built the team in one year or not won all series. They also watched how the team reached WC final in 2003 and after that how the team was collapsed When dravid made captain team was ranked 8th I icc odi ranking and 2nd in Test, but now team is ranked 5th in odi and 4th in test ranking. gang,s return is against all odds, same for jaheer. If somebody is bannished for 15 months.It is next to impossible to return in such an over whelming fashion. such examples are rare. He didnot come for his back up, its indian teams failure in successive fashion compelled selectors to bring him . everybody knows the fact. Media wants to show what people like to see. But i agree to u that Dravid as a captain is good performer than both tendulkar and ganguly so he should be given fair chance to prove his worth. The super trio of indian team is back bone of our cricket so I request donot compare and suport these three fellows for performing in next world cup. Gang was a good and motivating captain that can be proven by his enormous support from indian player as yubi, beeru, bhajji etc. hence let us not discuss this issue. We support the entire team and expect Dravid to achieve the incomplete task of last worldcup. So support Dravid and Team and stop unnecessarily building negative feelings for any player thanks

Anil kumble is back to odi after a 15 months back And zahir khan also made significant comeback. i did not write anything agianst ganguly as captain. comparision is not relevant. When team defeated dravid was criticised but g ppl compare team victory / defeat with ganguly succes and same did not happend to ganguly. n ganguly was never criticised in such manner when he was captain. dravid projected as weak/ puppet/ spineless etc .. actually that is not true. If U compare the ganguly 's achievement in 1st year of his captaincy drvid had done better job. only media biased. Dravid may not be scoring 100s but he scored runs consistanly even after he took over captaincy
After Kapil's team won world cup India has never won any major tournaments. Even if two/three teams participated India lost. India could not even enter semi finals in Champion trophy which it hosted. How do we rectify the problem. Here are the answers.
Do we need Kumble to continue though he does not take any wickets and Sachin , Dravid, Ganguly need to continue playing so that they can earn more billions and here we billion people watch to see India lose? Why do we not have performance based earnings system for players, foriegn coaches, traniers...
Think, with masala to see how India can win instead of east people thinking about Ganguly, West always supporting Sachin and South about Dravid.
Let us just ignore Indra .. He is pagal after Ganguli ;-)
We will not progress much if we continue with blind and senseless hero worshipping. Ganguli was a very good captain - some stengths, some weeknesses. (I am not from Bangal). His downfall was was very much of his own making. Dravid also is doing well as Captain (again some strengths, some weaknesses). (I am not from Karnataka). God forbid, if we don't do well in WC, Ganguly may well come back as captain (if he is doing well as player). No one should be surprised. All major Indian captains have been dumped and reinstated (Pataudi, Gavaskar, Kapil).
A captain needs 3 things mainly: Be a great performer himself (as player) Be a good leader/motivator of the team Be a good thinker of the game. [All these have to apply to both forms of the game; or have different captains]
When Ganguli was doing well in 2 out of 3 areas (and Sachin was out of consideration) he became captain and did well. When the above was no longer true, he had to move out. He didn't and became the biggest joke in Cricket.
Dravid also passes on the above test and now Dravid needs to be given a long-enough tenure and then only judge him. If Ganguli performs, he will have his chance again.
Time will tell! The action has already begun!
Again, there is really no need to take Indra seriously. We will listen to him when (and if) we know his eyes can see something other than Ganguli ;-)

Tell me one good reason why should we? Is India winning all the matches? Are so called young guns performing out of the world? Is the captain not going out of the way to support his yes men? Then why should we support this captain? Are we the people of India taken into account for selecting or not selecting a player? Are we even involved in Selecting any of the BCCI or selection commitee member? Then how is this team representing India any way? I can also tell you to get out of negetive bias for ganguly

While I do want India to perform well, I agree that Dravid's captaincy skills will be found wanting. I hope our selectors reinstate Ganguly as captain.
Our Indian Players earn enough from adds and shooting now they should be paid match fees only if they win ortherwise if they loose they should pay from their pocket as senior players earn handsome money from other stuff

Priya, You are making the player to feel more money minded. It never works in any part of the world or any sport. Paying from their pocket in case of loose.
Also I want to mention that there is nothing wrong in making money from advts. Thats their person life/business. If someone does not play well mgmt should be harsh in removing from the team. And they don't get new advt and no money. Obvisouly everybody wants big money and people start playing good.
It should work that way. You or me or BCCI has no right to ask the players not to make money from advt. Or pay back to BCCI in case of failure etc.,
May be we suggest onething. Pay "good bonuses" only in case of win. that works.
