BCCI chooses its admisitrators based on political compulsions.It has as its vice-president a person who all goans know for his notierity in the ticket scams some years for an ODI in Goa. And I'm sure that Mr. desai was made a manger for the south Africa tour due to his closeness to the BCCI vice president and no other reasons. If Goa has such admirable administrators the standard of cricket in goa wouldn't be so low.Goa doesn't even have a proper cricket stadium till date (and BCCI is supposed to be the richest sports body in the world).So where do the funds go or shld I say into whose pockets
His administrative track record is nothing to be proud of, and you cannot help but agree with Dravid's outburst that Desai has no place in the history of cricket and hence he does not deserve even scant respect.
As Dravid has rightly said, Desai has not played a single first-class match. But not only is he the secretary of Goa Cricket Association but is also a member of the BCCI's finance committee.
A few years ago Desai had "insulted" former India opener Dilip Sardesai, of all people, during a One-Day International in Goa. Though he played for and lives in Mumbai, Sardesai is actually a Goan. ================================================ BCCI should think about the administrative changes rather then making changes in the team, offcourse non performing players should be under scanner. In the same way top admins and the managers should be under scanner instead of commenting wihtout playing a first class cricket. I agrees with Dravid and he has the full rights to comment. The unexperienced managers who does not have the first class cricket experience should be replaced urgently. These will help the Indian's to win the cricket world cup and prosper.
shewag has not turned up to the practice session and vengsarkar was also visibily distrubed by shewags attitude in South Africa. Chtans report is only proving the guilt. Now its for the BCCI to take strict action
Dravid as As capatin supporting players. why he should comment on his report without reading it? Why desiai is silent for som any days and who leaked report just 2 days before Kolkata Odi? IF dravid does not support players he is dubbed as incompetative, not agressive if he show some guts to comment against report he dubbed as errogant ? Team lost SA b'cuz of bizzere umpring? It happened during WI tour also. infact rahul for not scoring runs and kumble not taking wkts had been criticised. Had Desai mentioned kumble's 7lbw appeals were trundown rahul was given out 3 times when he was not out that happened sachin KKD? why BCCI is silent? What the manager was doing? did he compalin to Match refeee against sub std umpring? how come goan newspaper got news first? Same thing happened to ganguly? Noboldy still clarify that how chappels msg leaked to bengali newspaper? what price ganguly paid and how much criticism/negative comments passed against dravid and chappell? Has anybody asking clarification? Now what kind game the board leaders are playing? they do'nt have time to renew the player's contract. But they know how to meddle with selection players etc.. somedays board members were criticised that players for doing ad commericials?? some politician citicised dravid for attending Sevabahrti function for Surya Namaskar. Borad can not give any answer to polticians? Board is not complaing to ICC against the bizzere umpring during WI and Sa tour? Board supposed to encouage players instead they are playing cat and mouse game..like changing VCsn every match....sewag to laxman to sachin??? laxman joined odi for one match and gone, J sharma for one then manoz tiwary made XII in overnight for one match?? board should clarify it's policy on selection of players??

This is not controversy but this incident explains this Chetan Desai attitude towards the real geniune peoples who are really a part of live cricket not just simple finance and admin body...

that was good reply to this article.dravid comment was total bizzare.out of context for sehwag's controversy(actually no controversy at all..internal matter).people are going out of there way to support a non-performer from ages.let c in WC. as per dravid WC(world cup for India)=WC (winning combinations in indian team)....ha ha ha very less performers on a given day..
