i think without mohd kaif india is not going to win world cup, i think india can't participate in semi final without him once we request please pick kaif for world cup
Kaif is best batsman at number 5. We should pick him ahead of Sehwag as sehwag is out of form and Yuuraj is not fit. Also he has played last time we went to Westindies. Kaif alomg with Dravid has many matches for india. Common india. Raise your voice for Kaif. I wish he get selected tomorrow.
I think kaif should in the world cup not only in the 15 members squad but also in 11 players bcoz he is brilliant in fielding, if they can give chances to sehwag & raina why they are not giving chance to kaif, now youvraj is also suffering from he injury he cannot field better we need someone like kaif who can save the runs.
Ganguly sehwag dravid irfan sachin dhoni yuva robin agarkar kumble patel exact team can win WC becoz contineosly 9 batting orders and seamers dont worry patel, ifran, and agarkar, and spinner kumble, sehwag,if emergency sachin, yuva and ganguly....
squad harbajan,zaheer/kaif,karthik,sreesanth/kaif, in elevem member i can choose harbajan or robin uttappa depend upon the opp. team.I think we need kaif to save and make the runs for autralia, pakistan, west ind., kaif must be in, in the 15squad.
For pitches that we will see in Carribean, we just don't need "WHAM BAM...THANK YOU MAA'M" kinda batsmen. We need players with solid techniques as most of the matches will be low scoring affairs. 250 should be a winning score on west indian pitches and every run will count. We already have Players like Sehwag and Dhoni who can score at a faster rate if required, but in case we lose 3-4 quick wickets, I doubt Raina or Uthappa can resurrect the innings. Apart from that Kaif is lightning quick in the field and we need a close cordon comprising players who build a pressure on opponent batsman by stopping singles. It would be a grave mistake if Kaif and VVS are not included in the squad.

Very well said! If Past captains were looking for all flashy players in their side like what Draivid is doing at the moment, we would not have Dravid playing ODIs today. Its important that we have at least two firefighters in the side and who else could be better than Kaif! He is not only the fittest Indian player, but also a player with loads of common sense and a great fielder. And he has proved himself in West Indies!
All I have to say is this. What are the criteria for selection - talent, fitness, experience and form. Kaif possesses talent and is one of the fittest players out there. He has tons of experience and despite a lack in form when he was chosen for the Caribbean tour, he proved himself by scoring 3 fifties. For the World Cup, we don't need raw form and mere talent. On the contrary we need mental toughness and experience because when it comes to crunch time, experience triumphs over youth. Selecting Raina, Uthappa or any other youngster at this time, without the appropriate exposure to the international scene, would mean setting these youngsters up for failure. They represent the future of Indian cricket and as such should be treated that way. Let them sit back and watch the World Cup from the comfort of their homes. Then when the World Cup is over, groom them to take over the mantle from the experienced and soon-to-retire senior players. But for the World Cup, trust those that have been trusted before, Kaif and VVS should definitely be in the side. As far as the wicket-keeper batsmen are considered, we do have Dhoni and Dravid as back-up. Robin Uthappa and Karthick are both keepers. Does it really make sense to have 4 keepers, with 3 of them in the outfield? Can you justify including 2 additional inexperienced wicket-keeper batsmen namely Robin and Karthick, versus 2 experienced regular batsmen, namely Kaif and VVS? One more thing to keep in mind - in the Caribbean the ball does not come on to the bat. The pitches are not very conducive to Uthappa's style anyways. If you wish to justify a quick start, Robin Uthappa would not do any better than the Little Master Tendulkar with Dada Ganguly. Here's my line-up
Hi Mohammed Kaif is not in very good form and in recent ranji, he failed to score runs. Kaif should improve his batting, I hope he will be brought back in the team after world cup. Irfan Pathan needs to play more county matches to get his form, there is no place for him in my team.
My perfect balance team 1)Robin Uthappa 2)Saurav Ganguly 3)Rahul Dravid 4)Sachin Tendulkar 5)Virendar Shewag 6)Dinesh Karthick 7)MS Dhoni 8)Zaheer Khan 9)Munaf Patel 10)Ajith Agarkar 11)Harbhajan Singh 12)Manoj Tiwari 13)Ramesh Powar 14)RP Singh 15)Yuvraj Singh There is no place for Anil Kumble, Since he dont deserve one dayers.
