It became a an international brand for being Calcutta & whether one likes it or not that's the the hard truth!!So it is immaterial whether it is Kolkatta or Kolkata or Rosgolla!!
By that statement against amla.. it showed is true inner belief.. he should be banned for ever as he may comment again.. he can't pretend to be good for long.. so again he will say somthing not acceptable to civil society

Raj is correct according to Mr Saboor Alvi since he supported what he is advocating FANATICISM. You Fanatics why don't you realise the ground realities in this world. When 90% of the poeple in the world say that you guys are fanatics why dont you accept the truth and try to change. According to me there is nothing wrong in what DEANO Has said and belive me he has apologised for what he has said and the player concerned has not even raised any objection and what the point in you guys jumping up and down why dont you guys just shut up

Mr. Anonymous, do you believe that all the people who have a beard are Fanatics? If thats to be believed then all the Sikhs are Fanatics...open up your thoughts a but mr. whatever and don't try to support your personal views and thoughts by writing self-made statistics...he apologised because that was the only option for him and he Amla also had no options but to pardon him, its not concerned with two persons only this depicts the mindset of people of the particular region and the institution with which the person is related with...so if the cricketing fraternity is really against racist remarks then your dear DEANO should be banned, he was speaking in front of a live TV audience not in his toiled that he can be as carefree in cracking stupid jokes, he has done a mistake and he has to pay for it simple....and it seems you more than us are jumping up and down with over enthusiasm(fanaticism), we are just expressing our views..take care and have a heart to at least tell your name why are you hiding mr. anonymous?

By telling my name it is not going metter to you and I feel there is not need to. If the same comment was made by one from your religion you guys will say he is perfectly alright and he can be pardoned. There is no self made statistics the truth of the matter is 85% of the people in this country are not from your religion. I am very sorry if your ignorant of this.

A handful of racist folks cannot constitute 90% of the people in the world. Even if they do, what those people consider as fanaticism might be considered as a duty by the remaining. By the way, being religious is NOT analogous to being fanatic.

Haha Mr. Arun thats first time i am listening that having a beard is a case of losing your dignity and hello! who made this rule that cricketers cannot sport a beard?

According to this Great W.G.Grace has no identity!! Cricket history should be rewritten by Arun!!
About time he came back. Even the original comment, calling Amla a 'terrorist', was clearly made in jest, and the reaction to it only showed that a sense of humour is lacking in the game today. An objection to the comment, if made by Amla himself, would certainly have got an apology, as the apology was tendered even without an objection from Amla. Lets stop making mountains out of molehills, no, not even real but media-conjured up molehills.
why so we guys r forgetting one such incident that of wc soccer ...zidane 's butt remember and the issue blown out of proportion by the western world now when such a nasty remark made by a n aussie white look at how mnay people favouring him . fair shd be kept fair everywhere.

Looking at the events around the world, you don't need to be an expert to figure out that terrorists come from different ethnic, geographical and religious backgrounds. If you are used to seeing only a part of entire spectrum, nobody can help you.
Dean - we as a cricketing community welcome you back. We hope you never do it gain and put yourself in jeopardy. You are one of the elite persons to whom generations should come must look in as a cricketer who did his bit in commenting even after getting rid of the game and not a guy to look for wrong reasons.
We wish u all the best in ur second stint after the sting.
