Money Mind boggling
by Indra Sengupta on Feb 07, 2007 10:52 PM

Whatever be the cause, it reflects the lack of cohesion and planning in the fact that most of the country missed watching the first ODI with Windies.
The fiasco arising out of the game of money earning from gullible audience was quite evident.
Hence the role of money can not be ruled out in each and every aspect of the game.
Impossible player section, player dropping and captain dropping - who knows where the money is playing a role or not.
God save us.

Sehwag's lousy average
by Stew India on Feb 07, 2007 06:24 PM

The fact is that Sehwag has a lousy average of 31 runs per innings in one day cricket. Everyone is going ga ga over him. We should instead be looking constantly for a better player because he has a lousy everage. Throw out Sehwag and keep Uthappa.

Let NEO Keep It

It is fair that the channel which has bid the highest gets to keep the telecast right 100%. Prasar Bharti shouldnt interfere and show Big Brother's attitude in this matter.

Who cares about those people who don't have cable?

Dear..probably you don't care but you should remember that..nearly 70% of people in India stays in villages...& still now all the villages does not have cable facility..

I am not saying that prsar bharti should behave like this..but at the same time Neo Sports/Harish tawani Saheb should consider..

Added to that BCCI & our great politicians should solve this issue permently..& should not go court again & again at the last minute....

Neo Sports had paid so much to BCCI ..so it can not be forced on them....

What I mean that...public interst shoul be considered insted of playing dirty politics

whats pawars position
by Sriram Rags on Feb 07, 2007 05:56 PM  | Hide replies

Please dont report this as abuse. Its a genuine question. Its not an abuse.

What is Mr.Pawars position. Is he support NEO sports/Nimbus as board presidents chief or does he support the ordinance as a cabinet minister in UPA government. This is exactly what our forefathers have in mind when deciding the office of profit issue. Unfortunately its circumvented by the politicians(especially congress and communists).

Thank God for sparing cricketers from likes of Chetan Desai
by pradeep agarwal on Feb 07, 2007 05:12 PM

The board has done the right thing by appointing Jagdale a highly respected player of his time from MP as manager for world Cup.The non cricketing non entities are a headache as they always clamour for media attention by playing to the gallery.

Media is spoling indian cricket
by pala d on Feb 07, 2007 05:00 PM

Its a pretty ordinary thing. Media is again blowing it out of proportion. As per one TV Channel they talk about Sehwag's attitude and Dravid's Adamancy. Its not so. We all know Sehwag is in bad patch and he was a given break to work out his basics. He is fresh and coming back. Lets hope he will play well. Similary there is no point in telling Dravid is adamant. As a captain, he would have thought of used Sehwag ahead of harbhajan for his batting ability. Who knows if it clicked and had we won the match, this report would have been rubbish. Since everything failed, there is no point in crying over spilt milk, that too creating a rift fresh between chappel and Sehwag at this time....

It has been the Media making things out of proportion and makes life miserable for the cricketers !
