Cricket in Ireland.

Hi all,
This is great news specially for Promotion of Irish Cricket..They have number of good players who will showcase their skills in WC-2007 like Eion Morgan who is far better than our inconsistant IND counter parts and he is just 19 yrs. Also, Its a big shock to Irish Cricket fans that their most Prolific Run Scorer ED JOYCE is now playing for ENGLAND.

I am from INDIA and involved in IRISH Cricket. I have played and seen some of the most talented players here. Its big achievement for Ireland to produce such a class players despite of having very low CRICKETING COMMUNITY and WORST WEATHER!!

This IND-AUS series would boost IRISH CRICKETING IMAGE and bring more youngester into CRICKET.

Thanks to BCCI and ICC!

Best Regards. Zulfiqar

Who will come to watch a cricket match in Ireland. I think they should try to host a series in canada , as canada is a very strong cricket fan base ,the cricket has been missing from this part of the world for a long time ..

Well, its all to do with votes and TV money really.
To become ICC president you need votes from secondary members like Ireland. Indian Board is planning to nominate Mr. Pawar in the next election. He is a capable administrator and will broaden the cricketing fraternity. However he needs votes to win.

These days even if there is no one coming to the ground, TV revenue is huge incentive for the participating country boards to send their teams.

This would be an excellent series to watch.

Actually, the problem is there are no grounds in USA that are ready. They wanted to.
