I draw the attention of ICC and its affiliates to consider opening a non-resident class of membership to the leading cricket clubs for people living in non-cricket playing countries(like USA,etc),It will bring $ in income to ICC etc, while giving an opportunity to such people to attend international matches around the world, while visiting their country of origin. It should have reciprocal services accepted in other affiliated clubs internationally and priced reasonably to make it affordable for people using the fecilities once in 3-4 years.
Thank you CEAT for recognising and encouraging young talent. Ranadeep Bose & Manoj Tewary are good talent should now be drafted into Indian team. For Bose age may be the factor. CEAT is also requested to award Allrounder of the year also to encourage good allrounders.

see the averages and the number of innings.. Tewari scored in 10 innings at an average of 99.50, Uthappa scored in 14 innings at an average of 60 plus.

When u don't understand something, is it imperative that u should make acomment. Please refrain from commenting silly and wasting our precious time in reading ur comments. Keep ur fingers tied.
Well, u hv to choose the World Cup team in advance to let them play a few matches together & gel as a team. That has not happened in the case of India this time. About the inclusion of Tewari & Rano, I guess they have to wait for their chances after India performs rather miserably (I do not wish so, but am quite sure) in the WC. Mark my words, after the WC, Pathan & Sehwag (if they are selected for the WC) will be a piece of history and these two guys may just fill in their shoes.
When your decision is predetermined and you invent logic for your illogical omission of talents___ well, you are a hypocrit. When you like a person you take him in the team. Tell him to prove if you do not like him. If some one proves in Ranji and 7/8 years already in the business you tell him to wait for his chances. Anyway thanks to CEAT for recognising the talents.
The selection process is required to be very objective. Statistics and computers must be used to selct the probables from the domestic circuit to India A team. India A team should be give transcountry exposures. These outing statistics should be the objective basis for seletion of the final team of 16 national players. There must be a panel from players of proven calibre the likes of Kapil, Gavaskar, Amarnath, Shatri, Vengsarkar, Srikanth, Srinath to apply joint subjective assessment to select the final 12. Chosing final 11 should be Captain's prerogative. Role of the coach should be to give physical training for better running between the wickets, fielding, batting stance, grip, bowling action, grip etc. No role jumping must be allowed. Coach should never consider himself to be a captain. Captain should also not give undue respect to the coach if he oversteps.

Selector and coach should be stratigists. Many a times captain may not be able to devise strategies due to lack of experience. So a senior person with lot of cricket behind him is needed to assist the captain. How about having a selecter cum coach shouldering total responsibility? Let us have it like this: 1.A national panel consisting of a batsman, an allrounder, a pace bowler and a spinner should be selecting the probables or should feed inputs to the selecter cum coach. EX: Sandeep patil, Robin Singh, Paras Mambrey and EAS Prasanna. 2.The selecter cum coach should then select the squad. He should be given a tenure of 2 years and then can be extended by one, one year depending on his performance. He should be solely responsible to groom the team and to plan strategies. Here my choice would be either Ravi Shastri or Venkat Raghavan. 3.Coach can then select his team of physio, trainer, fielding coach, batting coach and bowling coach.
It is unfortunate not seeing Manoj and Ranadev in probables of 30 when they were selected for their skills by CEAT.I'm not saying that let every Bengal Players play for World Cup,but the skilled players should not be ignored.Say let 11 players be from Karanataka,or Mumbai or from other places should they they be the best.India should go to the World cup with the best players only, irrespective of personal likings and dislikings. What you think folks?

You sound very sensible.Hope the selectors take note of their credentials for future selections, atleast send them on 'A'tours as we need people for the future.
In one of the filmfare awards actor Dharmendra said "I am recieving this lifetime achievement award from filmfare when in my lifetime as actor I was never givn a filmfare award." The same thing goes for Rajinder Goel. And the funniest part is both Manoj Tiwari and Randeb Bose are not even in the 30 probables. Then were our selectors sleeping through out the season? And after shifting first odi v/s Srilanka from Poona to Kolkatta BCCI has awarded Bose and Tiwari. Is that means Sharadbabu is going out and out to please banglababus? And notice this important piece of statistics. On 8th FEB India is playing its ONE HUNDREDTH ODI, post world cup 2003.(I have excluded ODIs against all non test plying nations other than Kenya. Its an honour to EDEN GARDENS, the lovliest stadium India has. I love you Eden Gardens.

Bala from Tirupur
Your arguement shows ignorance on your part. The top players have international duty. We have to classify these awards as the best among the rest. If likes of Dravid, Sachin, etc. had played most of the domestic games like Tiwari, Bose etc., there is no question of them getting the awards. In the case of Tiwari, I see a bright future. But, I doubt Bose' ability to challenge truly international talents like Ponting, Kallis, Lara and others

You are talking about Eden Gardens as the loveliet stadium. Funny. On what basis, just because you have lot of crowd, size, etc. I agree with you that the atmosphere is electric and so on. the people have no tolernace. When home country fails they start pelting stones, abuses, etc at the rival players. When their local player is not selected, they start doing it to their own (country's) players, what kind of logic it is. Eden Garden is good for its size. sports loving people. All these things are appreciated. But the attitude. I would say each ground has its own merits and demerits.

I am from Mumbai. Let us swap the crowds. The atmosphere is really electric there. Even when we watch on TV(doordarshan also)it looks terrific, brilliant and it truely rocks more than anywhere in India.

Do not misunderstnd me. I am not against the awards being given to Bose and Tiwari. They deserve it. Neither I have mentioned ki Dravid, Sachin etc should be given these awards. My point is that were our selecters sleeping throught the season and these players went unnoticed, not to be in the Probable 30?

Iam just pointing ignorance on part of BCCI and its selecters. How these talented players went unnoticed by them.
Just an appreciation of what I have been telling with thousand other cricket fans all accross India. Just a few obstinate Mooms will still keep their eyes shut.

Well just by one award no one becomes a champ. They will have to consistently play. Don't support just because they are bongs !! They have to still proce a lot. Samjhe !
