Come on Guys....Before the series everyone was pretty optimistic about an Indian Victory and now you guys seems to be totally blaming the Indian Team.
Just give them another oppurtunity. I feel the following are the reasons for the Indian downfall in the first test.
1. While many feel that it is the batters who let the team down , I feel that the bowlers should equally take the blame for letting the Aussies score 350 in both the innnings in such a difficult pitch not to consider the fact that it was much like a spinners track and unfamiliar to Aussie's type of batting. So the Indian Bowlers atleast in the second innings should have put up a good show in dismissing the Aussies for less than 200 , there by giving India a decent score to chase.
2. Shuffling the batting order should have waited for atleast two tests. Yuvraj might have been asked to wait for atleast one or two games until India finds themselves in a good position (or worst position) to play him. They should have started the series with the popular and conventional openers (Sehwag and Jaffer).
3. A person who is out of form should be helped by the team management by asking him to bat down the order. But in Dravid's case , he was asked to bat up the order that too as an opener. He struggled and gave an impression that there is some demon in the pitch. An inform player like Sourav should have been sent in at No:3 (after Sehwag and Jaffer) and Rahul should be pushed down to N0:5 or even No:6 after VVS.
May be ponting has won many tests but behaviour on field and offfield too is very important which he should learn first as he is captain of a team. Ausies really need to be thrashed hope India will atleast defeat them in 1 test
aussies are generally great mind gamers, upsetting the oppositions confidence even before they land down under...in that sense, bhajji truly deserves this verbal duel with none other than the captain himself...hope he upsets the aussies in sydney, which is tailor made for him...we need to bowl first since piucking 20 wickets is not that easy if we bat first..
