Bowling Dept.

Why Aussies can bounce the ball, putting the ball only in off side and all the fielders in one side and forced the batsman to play then why Indian bowlers cannot understand the same and why they are putting the ball in all direction.

Because bowling coach Prasad could never do the same either and he can't teach it either. The only thing he had to teach was a slow ball and he did it and should retire gracefully or kicked out.

Ganguly..... is he a team man?
by sanjay on Dec 28, 2007 09:44 AM  | Hide replies

Ganguly played 8 ball in total of Brett Lee from 31 st over onwards in his innings. That is when he came to bat.

He exposed Kumble when Lee was bowling his second over to Ganguly. He took quick single a rare sight. Then in next over in hurry to milk Hogg got out.

Further as a senior settled in batsman exposed Yuvi and Dhoni to clerk early on at tea. Did not help them to settle. That the he is a team man?

Tell us which player in Indian team is a team player? Don't point finger at one person alone. Anyway whatever you have said about Ganguly is just rubbish. If he has to protect any player, then such a player does not deserve to be in the team itself.

It is stupid, absolutely rubbish and idiotic to suggest that no one is a team player.
Why the hell do you watch the game or bother to write here?
Why don't you get your bunch of 11 Team players and offer them to Inida? Just because you have nothing else to do do not write childish coments. Absolutely do not write because the God gave you hands. he also gave you brains. Use it for a change

Guys, lets just hope that India will come out of this misery first. So far, it looks like the Indian bowling attack is far better than their batting lineup, which is total opposite of what most of us thought.

Lets not forget India is playing with 4-time World Champions. Whatever the outcome will be; I'll still be proud of India, especially the way they are getting aussies batsmen, they need big applause. Atleast our current team is giving Aussies hardest time in their total domination of both(triple?) forms of cricket to which rest of other teams failed to do.

I wish all our batsmen a very best luck in the second ining and hoping for the best.

You are either ignorant or biased. What do you mean exposing Kumble? Kumble has a test hundred recently and is a decent bat. And you want Yuvi and Dhoni to be protected? Why? What happened to the fact that they both are stars of Indian cricket and they dropped an opener to accomodate Yuvi. Just stop your bullshit here.

Is he supposed to protect batsmen ?

you could argue that had they ben tailenders but surely against australia attack is the best defense.

Not long ago Ponting said if ever he wants to change a rule in cricket...
Then he will opt for declaring batsman not out in out on first ball he faces....
It tells you something .....if you know cricket and if you have basic intelligence to understand what he said.

Ask yuvi to repay his 1 crore to the team, dada will protect him,,yuvi is not new to cricket and its always better to face some balls when few wkts are down rather than exposing them when 8 wkts have fallen down......Ganguly was not playing with 10 down batsamn...its surprising that u seem to be ignorant....

Neither Kannadiga nor Dravid fan....
but early stages
senior has to easeout new comer at crease at critical junctures. There are numerous occasions Ganguly was struggling somebody else eased him out. Take last test at Bengluru Yuvi launched frontal attack on pakis then Gangs after easing started accumulating runs to lesser bowlers. Check his encounters with Shoaib in same match.
