I guess we screwed up big time by asking dravid to open the innings to accomadate Yuvraj, which means Laxman comes in at no:3 .Why would you want to change the batting order just for the sake of Yuvraj. Dravid scored heavily last time batting at no:3 and was one of the reasons why India did well last time. The same goes to Laxman batting at no: five.
Laxman is initially a suspect to the new ball especially to ball coming in .At no:5 the ball becomes old and he would have had enough time to get acclimatized to the conditions which will defn work in India%u2019s favor . One should have picked the enigma by the name shewag and asked him to open the innings, who I feel would have defn given the necessary impetus to the Indian innings

For your information, Laxman scored heavily during the last Australian tour by playing at number 3 and he has gone on record saying that he prefers batting at #3. Having said that, they should have gone in for a regular opener instead of Yuvraj (inspite of his 169 against Pak). The more we see of Yuvraj playing tests,it is clear that he is still suspect against quality spin bowling and also initially in his innings he does not move his feet at all. Even during his 169 against Pak, in the first 20 minutes he was struggling and could have got any time. We need someone aggressive at the top of the order who can counter attack and make Australia change their bowling plans.

100% true. In fact they should not have changed winning team which won test series in England. Sehwag is an interesting choice but still I believe, Karthik should have got one more chance, for he did well in SA and England and just two tests he failed. But I don't mind gambling with sehwag, but definately not with Dravid.

Tendulkar can now score only 50s, 60s, sometime 80s. May be a 100 once in 10-15 inings, till he breaks the Lara's record. Atleast the records will be with India only.
As far this test is concerned. India will loose by a huge margin, maybe 300 plus. They should try to deduce the loosing margin and loose gracefully...
Dravid is looking all set for another score of 5-10 of 80-90 balls...
