Ganguly..... is he a team man?
by sanjay on Dec 28, 2007 09:49 AM

1st test first innings.
Ganguly played 8 ball in total of Brett Lee from 31 st over onwards in his innings. That is when he came to bat.

He exposed Kumble when Lee was bowling his second over to Ganguly. He took quick single a rare sight. Then in next over in hurry to milk Hogg got out.

Further as a senior settled in batsman exposed Yuvi and Dhoni to clerk early on at tea. Did not help them to settle. Then is he a team man?

Shameless Loser Sachin
by JK on Dec 27, 2007 09:45 PM  | Hide replies

This shameless loser who bats well only in the 1st inings is talking to the media abt the lost chance. Dose Ricky ponting talk if he fails? He talks with his bat in the 2nd innings but these 2 losers are the disgrace and bane f Indian cricket stopping youngsters from joining the team.

Indian Team has ability allout within 100 runs and at the same time has ability to score 700 odd runs in one inning. If our target below 400 , we have lots of chances to win the match. If openers comeup with good partership then midde order comeup with centuries. We all plently of talented players, match winners will fail one time but not all the time.
Best of luck to Kumble team & Co

Hey loser JK, Sachin has 9 centuries in the 2ns innings in test matches. Show me one person in the world who has 9 centuries in the second innings. Its easy to say he does not score more in 2nd innings. But the truth is no batsman scores runs in 2nd innings.

Also Hayden and Ponting have scored most of their centuries in Australia which is their home soil. Where as sachin has scored 21 centuries away from home compared to pontings 15 centuries and haydens 9 centuries.

Only a looser can call others a looser. Are you thinking Sachin is like youself? Well. He is not. YEsterday's innings was well-formed and well done. It isnt his fauly, if JAffer, Dravid, Yuvi and Dhoni decided to fall for single digit scores.

Why did the remaining batsmen not score even a fifty? Are they not to be blamed. If Dravid,Laxman and Yuvraj had chipped in with a fifty apiece then the score would have been closure to 300. That Laxman could not even face a bouncer and got out. Sachin showed how to play the bouncers. This shows your understanding of the game.

Dravid's Attitude
by Vikram Sudhini on Dec 27, 2007 09:14 PM  | Hide replies

India's 1st innings debacle should mostly be attributed to the way Dravid played, his attitude of just blocking the ball and not rotating the strike has allowed the australian bowlers to settle into good line and length. I am great admirer of Dravid, he can play all the shots in book but being one of the leaders of the team he should not have let opposition dectate terms.

even jafer failed. yuvraj and dhoni were out for duck and harbjan wktless.
Opening against fast and accurate bowling on hard bouncy pitches in aus conditions will be a tough task for any batsman . it will be a challenge to even Jaffer
As a professional team player dravid he accepted challenge If he fails he will be out of test team also He is well aware of chief selector has an agenda against him.( Already out of odi team after just five bad innings. (Harbajan was wktless in six matches still he playing odi )
today master blaster did not blast or tiger did not roar..where was superstars when team require their service blabbering so much in front of media%u2026.
Ganguly said he missed many 100s bcuz of batting up in order why he did not come forward to opening??

what about failure of jaffer, laxman dhoni yuvraj and harbjan wktless????
Here no other Indian batsman is ready to open, cos they all are under tremendous pressure even playing in their regular slot, but not Dravid. Dravid is the savior not only

Come on Suman come out of this narrow minded thinking. What do you think if jaffer, yuvi & bhajji fail that justifies the failure of the Wall. Let me tell you that he let the Ausies settle down he tried to avoid Lee. If you watched the last series then you should remember all our batsmen fruited the good openings given by Sehwag & Chopra. In Australia one needs to dominate the bowling, that does not mean that hitting fours & sixes. One needs to disturb the rythm of the bowlers by taking the singles ETC. For you, Dravid taking the opening spot is just to save his place in the team, nothing more than that. Nothing to do with sacrifice or bravery If he was being brave he should have taken the singles tried to find the gaps Blocking does not help in modern cricket.

Master blaster was in his full flow and no Australian bowler was able to trouble him. Dont try to deflect the blame on others for Dravids failure. Accept the fact that sometimes he really plays as if he he is in a shell. He even did this against England in 3rd test scoring 11 off 98 balls. Yes the much hyped Yuvraj and Dhoni both failed but so did Dravid.

Jaffer got a double hundred in the last series.Yuvraj made 169 on the only oppurtunity he got recently....when india was in trouble at 60-4 against pakistan.

Dravid failed in south africa england and then against pakistan...the only time Dravid scored in the entire period since ganguly's comeback is against bangladesh...
Dravid is HOLE IN THE INDIAN WALL
