Although Rahul is not confident

I am happy that India didn't loss a wicket today in 8 overs. Atleast our players find a streategy to be in the match. Thanks jaffar and Dravid for today.

Tendulkar defends Dravid

Sachin, You sound complacent. You must defend yourself first for getting out after getting well set. In another statement you have said that your wicket was the turning point. It is a point of shame. One must feel bad and not make statements like a commntator. Everyone knows what is the problem with Dravid. He is playing at a wrong position thurst on him. You are playing at your regular position. I think you are being irresponsible and appear happy to have scored 62 and getting out. Test cricket is a waiting game and you should have dug yourself in.

Select Sreesanth for 3rd Test

Going for the Third Test in Perth we need 3 Pace Bowlers (Zaheer, Sree & RP). we need that aggression in Australia and the seam movement from sree is excellet in bouncy tracks.

Absolutely Right ! You should give right atmosphere for a bowler like Sreesanth to excel. ( Remember his bowling in SA sometime back)

Dravid just retired from world cricket

1. Most selfish batsman in this world. Cricket is meant for people to entertain not for own record. see how aus player entertain people and also win the match for our country. He always played for himself which help country to win few matches.
2. He play most boring match. Better watch other program when he is playing.
3. He can't handle pressure. Add more pressure to other end and in coming batsman.
4. He was the of the reason for draw against england and with pak last match in the series. If he played little fast India would have won 2 more test matches
5. Not a good team leader. I wonder how he become captain of india!!!
6. I doubt he is match winner on his own. Just a contributor. Now, he seems to me like a liability than assets.
7. He can't play against quality bowler. Look like chichen against good bowler.

There is no point in one senior depending another senior. Selector must take hard decision. There is noting wrong in criticising any players. If he can't handle criticisim, he is not worth for playing international game. just get lost.

His first inning was just rediculous. That match can make any indian cricket fan angry. After played 100 test match and faced million balls and can't this man understand this is mind game. How horribly he was struggling against fast bowler. Even Aus give him 3 chances also, he could have scored 10 runs.

you first remember about the fact that Dravid is the only man joined the world record of 58 hundred partnership in his 109 tests.Dravid is the man to help india to build up runs to the board with his patner.Remember about the india last Windies tour, india win the series only fot the committment of Dravid, he scored fifties in his both innings on the tough wicket and win that test and the series, and he scored 496 runs on that series,
Don"t shout dravid He surely shows his Talent in the Current aussies tour

no, you all people missing one thing. match winning strategy. You see how Australia play test against every team. If they play first, they score 400-600 at astounding run-rate in 90-120 overs and let the opposition to bat two time to score that run and still finish the match in 4 days. See their record, how many time match completed in 4 days. Same way when they bat second.

I am not a great cricket fan. I am just having holiday in aus and watching bit cricket on and off, not like you have to watch cricket early morning. btw, india will lose match today.

go aussie go. 4-0

I have never seen such useless observation in life. Get your facts right man, and then abuse Dravid. He is the most selfless batsman I have ever seen in Indian Cricket.

What demoralisation, you don't understand cricket, and steve waugh is telling this to further confuse India. In reality dravid did a decent job, by seeing off new ball and allowing stroke players to play their game although I agree it would have been good if he himself got some decent runs. But remember he is out of form and he is not an opener. On the contrary What did regular opener jaffer did. Similarly if some body bats like dravid did, in test it can also affect bowlers too. Not getting wicket can frustrate them also. Moreover, clearly after dravid, Sachin and sourav played a decent partnership and I am sure by steve's argument they have gained back momentum with 130 for 3 down, from which 300 plus was possibility. What happened then, why India lost sudden 3 wickets, what did Yuvaraj and Dhoni do. In fact this hurt more than anybody else. The 3 quick wickets when momentum was slowly turning to Indian side hurt India more than anybody else. Even if Yuvaraj and Dhoni stayed at crease like dravid did, we would have some runs and mind you they were playing old ball which was far more easier than playing newball, they were in their familiar batting positions. But unfortunately, people like you and media doesnot talk about this for they are biased and having a single point agenda to finish off Dravid. The real falt was failure to capitalise on dravid's labour. If only tendulkar stayed or even Yuvaraj made an attempt to settle, Australian's bowlers would have been tired and Hogg

Except Sachin and Kumble, all our batsman failed to deliver. Sachin was extremely unlucky to get an inside edge off the crappy delivery. And Kumble was clearly not out..

Openers ...

I think Saurav G & Sachin have batted a lot in the opening slot ! Y does the team or Anil Kumble have to think about that ?

I think the perfect batting order would be Saurav opening with Sachin, Dravid at 1 down, Laxman at 2 down, Then Jaffer then Yuvraj and then some pinch hitter and then Dhoni, Kumble, Etc.

Seniors are better than Juniors!!!!!
by Raj on Dec 28, 2007 02:13 AM  | Hide replies

Here people are defending Juniors against seniors. You can see yesterdays innings howmany runs scored by juniors and seniors. Almost cent percent runs scored by seniors. I dont think mr.Dhoni will survive for long the way he is batting. He got out the same way he got out against Srilanka in the world cup. People are scoring lots of runs in subcontinent pitches. But they will show their real quality in the foriegn bouncy pitches. I really appreciate the way Ganguly and tendulkar played. I feel pity for Dravid as he cudnt bat the way he always. But he is already under pressure as well as mentally he is not prepared to open the innings. Anyways, i hope and pray that he will do his best in the second innings. And i am sure that we can win matches just because of these seniors and never trust the present juniors. I dont blame Yuvraj, he is a very good player. Actually he is the candidate for 1 day captainship. But i am still wondering how this street player Dhoni got the captainship. I think its better to select Karthik in place of Dhoni for the second match so that he can solve the problem of opening slot also.
Anyways all the best indian team, especially the seniors. I am really proud of them...

Definately a good suggetion. Karthik should not have been dropped after he performed well overseas. Unfortunately In India, overseas performance is not recognised properly, good batting in home conditions are given more value.
