Agree!

For once, I agree with something BCCI. It makes sense for BCCI's Indian eleven to rotate the golden oldies in favour of grooming some not-so old guys. Makes sense to sit Rahul, Sachin, VVS and Saurav for a match each in the tour down under.

Once Sachin retires you will never get to see another player like him, atleast not in the next generation, so enjoy watching him while he is playing. He is still the best in the Indian team.

Rotation Policy!
by raj on Dec 25, 2007 12:07 AM

I feel we should have rotation policy seniority wise ( which is as good as saying aging wise), only two/ three of the five senior playes should play in one test givim\ng way for yongsters, therby we could have avided scurrent ituation like dravisd opening the innings.
But befor ethat the indian fans and sportwritters should stop talking rubbish, critcisng and and giving exper tadvises after the match, after all its just a game and lets face it currently we are not as good as the austalians thogh that doesnt mean we cant win with bit of luck we might , but still autralians ill be the best team aa sof now!!

Rotation Policy
by siddharth jain on Dec 24, 2007 09:26 PM  | Hide replies

Why the hell is Sachin giving these kind of opinions... now the time has come for him to permanently rotate and he's still focussing on temporary rotation
Australia can rotate as they have enough back-ups .. They can make 2-3 international teams capable of beating each another... and remaining on top3
But Rotation policy in India means that whatever strength they are left with give away that also so that even winning against Bermuda gets tough... Sack Sachin if he cant play let others play.

Just don't comment for sake of, your comments just show we don't have guts to digest, to see someone perform and appreciate their good deeds. Neither we are open to suggestions and accept things politely. I am just using your language here 'Who the hell are you to tell that Sachin should be sacked?' Infact rotation policy is in place for India but only when players get injured and not a planned one like in Australia. We should all say it was good for whatsoever reason Sachin, Rahul, Saurav didn't play in 2020. We got to see more of our youngsters. Just look how our fast bowling is suffereing because of lack of rotation policy. Just ponder why Zaheer, RP Singh were playing despite of injuries so its easy blaming Sachin, Saurav why don't you guys talk about others. What about Laxman then? Ain't he getting older and blocking yuvraj's place. Even Media and so called experts are to be blamed because if selectors implement rotation policy they will be grilled. If you want to question then raise question about BCCI policies. Whats the logic of playing 4 tests rubber with Australia why not 5 or 3? Why 27 officials need to go on study tour? AND PLEASE MIND YOUR LANGUAGE IT IN NO WAY SUITES YOUR NAME 'Siddrath Jain' is it real or psuedo name.

Good point Rahul about the comments above by Mr.Siddharth. I agree that there should be a rotation policy and a pool of 20-25 players selected and one or two promising youngsters should play along with the seniors, that way they get good exposure and then the seniors retire in a couple of years there is not a huge vaccum. We cannot replace all the 5-6 seniors at once (as suggested by many). It is not just seniors but also others should be rotated, especially the pace bowlers because they are prone to injuries when playing uninterrupted. Also, they have to be careful about the rotation here, the best team that is likely to win the game should be selected. Rotation policy is something that is being talked by the selectors for a long time but never put in place.
