Why aussies are MORE aggressive this time??
by Sharad Saxena on Dec 24, 2007 07:16 PM

I think they will miss the great services of both of bowling legends...Mcgrath and Warne!!!

And the best way (Rather Australian way...hahaha) to attack others WHEN U R WEAK and thats why every new or veteran australian player is trying to UN NECESSARY praise their current team

Ian chappel told coach has no contribution in aussie success then WHY DO THEY HAVE A COACH...hahahah????

This is the FIRST TIME they fear of LOSING by Indian cricket team

VERY GOOD
by TJ on Dec 20, 2007 01:40 PM

Dear Very Good biased Rediff. Thank you for exhibiting your true colour by not publishing the Aussie Triumph against NewZealanders till now. You have shown your courtesy of not even preparing a liner whilst giving enormous importance to the dead & buried Sri Lankan match. Long live your crooked vision and partial approach with respect to Aussies...

Cricket is exhibiting your (own) talents of bowling, batting & fielding not wait, watch, long & lust for other's errors.

I doubt Kumble has put the spinner shortage dilemma into Ricky Pontings thoughts, rather it's the plain and simple truth. Short of the aging Hogg and Magilla, who will tie us over for the next two years or so, and despite the glorifying of some young spinners, there are no younger world class Australian spinners coming through, some can land them in the right spots consistently, but none can really turn the ball.

Toughest series
by tamil troublers on Dec 19, 2007 10:24 PM  | Hide replies

India is in a no chance of beating Australia in their home turf, as there is no team in the world who has acheived this feat in the last 12 years. There was talk of India being competitive, in their last tour down under. Their pace attack was mediocre or ordinary with Williams, Bichel and Gillespie forming the nucleas of their bowling. Can India survive, the fearsome speed of Tait, who is the only bowler on Australian pitches to touch 160 Km/houron few occassion, during the early 2007 England tour game. Brett Lee wil open with Tait and bowling more accurate than raw Tait, at around 150 KM/hour and with no time to relax, as Mitchell Johnson will come in as first change bowler bowling arounf 145 KM/Hour with vicous swing. It's too pacy attack and survival is not easy this time, with weakest Indian bowling line up. Ponting won't repeat the mistake of Steve Waugh, during 2003 series, as while concentration shifted towards his farewell series that time. This time, be prepared Indian paper tigers and just try to avoid a whitewash as no other tour posses even half a challenge as full Australia tour. Tait, Lee, Clark, Johnson, Hayden, Gilchrist have started dugging grave of Indian batsman. We're eager of see, how Najafgarh idiot sultan Sehwag, tackles Lee and Tait pace upfront

i dont get agree with you. When there is a hope there is a way. I believe this indian team has the talent to beat australia in australia. The australians are the humanbeing just like us they are not god. What u need is positive approach and good sensible cricket and you will see the difference. if Rahul, sachin, ganguly and laxman contributes with bats then we have bowler who can take the wickets.I guess we have chance to win provided we play as a team just like we did in southafrica during twenty20 time.

Hogg to mat chiddaao, kahin 5-6 wicket na le le. Dont identify weak links, try to protect your wicket against Lee and Tait on hard fast pitches.

Sachin will be clean bowled by Lee or Tait in most of the innings. He is old and his reflexes are slow.

Lucky Bhai, Sachin Tai, Rahul Beta and Gangu Bai will make him forget spin bowling.
After this series he will become a Tourist guide at the Gateway of India or become a Batata Vada Vendor on Santa Cruz.

Ganguly will be hit by bouncers of Tait and Lee, and like a true Bengali tiger, he will run away to Sunderban forest delta.

Well Legend,

Not to forget the electric Sreesanth. Agreed he does lose his concentration at times, but he is the only Indian bowler who has the ability to swing the bowl in any part of the world (remember SA) and has the capabitlity to destroy tracks.

Also the lack of Sree's aggro, and the goody-goody Zaks and RP would not perform at the level expected as they most often do.

Well anyways all we can do is wish them all the best for the gruelling season ahead!!
